March 3rd, IHQ Network debuted the Chicago-based reality TV series “She Hustle-Chicago.” The series stars 5 Chicago-native business owners and entrepreneurs. “She Hustle – Chicago” boasts an all-Black, all-female cast, including forerunner and show creator Sade “Dae” Jones, executive producer, serial entrepreneur, and brand strategist; Shatara Connor, Pretty Hair Boss Salon & Suites owner and Pony Tail Girl Hair Line owner; Mz. Ronneisha, Lavish Furs, Pretty Hair Weave & Salon Suites owner; Mona Skye, credit repair specialist, real estate developer, and Skye Plaza & Suites owner; and recording artist Glizzy Glo.

The series centers itself around ambition, resilience, and the power of Black entrepreneurship as five fierce female business owners hold their own in the face of challenge and triumph.  Currently, the show is slotted for six 24-minute episodes.

The premiere and all subsequent episodes are free to watch on the IHQ Network’s Radiant TV app.

Dominate 2025, a youth empowerment program, organized by Gift Africa, with Mrs Slyvia Akwaboah as the Covernor, had great speakers and panelists who spoke on various issues that are relevant to shape and improve the youths of today.

Moses Bliss, the Guest Minister for the event, made a keynote address to all and sundry on the topic, “Dare for More”. His insightful presentation covered aspects that include, “how to dare for more, things to put in place if you want to do more and things to do differently this year in order to receive more.”

He shared stories of how he began as an upcoming Gospel artiste, but with persistency, consistency, availability, and his eagerness to learn and yearn for more, he is now recognized globally. In view of this, Moses bliss admonished all Gospel singers to always minister their own songs at events, regardless.

In order to dare for more, Moses gave out some pertinent points and facts to note. Firstly, one needs to know exactly who he or she wants to be and who he or she doesn’t want to be. There is no one more important than who you are becoming, therefore be focused on who you are becoming and what you are becoming. Focus brings resilience.

Moses further moved on to talk about the things to put in place if one wants to do more. He elaborates, “have an unquenchable desire for success, be really good or exceptional in the field you want to become, have a change in your daily routine, increase in wisdom, and then give yourself to training.

Finally, he made emphasis on some things to do differently this year in order to receive more. He states, “align with God, speak word into your future (align your steps), stay under the cloud of God, make a mark in all areas and lastly, spend time to read and invest in the word of God”.

A prayer was shared by Moses Bliss to climax his informative presentation.

In areas like Brownsville, Brooklyn, there is a pressing need for programs that both educate and inspire. The summit was designed to leave actionable insights and resources, addressing specific challenges like financial insecurity, lack of access, and limited opportunities for youth—all while making it a day of fun. By focusing on sports, clean energy, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and community engagement, the summit aligns directly with Brooklyn residents’ needs, empowering them to take control of their financial futures and create lasting change.

Q2: In what ways do you see this summit making a tangible difference in the lives of participants, particularly the youth and families involved in the programs?

A: The summit has been meticulously crafted to make a tangible difference, offering hands-on activities and resources while prioritizing the fun, community-focused aspect of the day. The financial literacy seminar, “The Languages of Money,” equips attendees with essential knowledge on budgeting, investing, and debt management. The involvement of local organizations like the Brooklyn Economic Development Center ensures the summit’s impact extends beyond just the event day. For youth and families, the distribution of 200 backpacks filled with school supplies by Vineyard Offshore ensures students are prepared for success. The day’s activities—basketball, ice cream, DJ music, face painting, and water games—create lasting memories while equipping participants with tools to navigate their financial and professional lives.

Q3: As a leader and advocate, how do you envision the Hidden Opportunity Summit evolving in the coming years? What new directions or strategies are you considering to enhance its impact?

A: I envision the Hidden Opportunity Summit evolving into a cornerstone event for community empowerment, not just in New York but potentially expanding to other underserved communities. Future summits will include more targeted youth programs, mentorship opportunities, and expanded partnerships with local businesses to providing job training and employment opportunities. By continuously adapting and responding to the community’s needs, the summit can enhance its impact year after year.

Q4: We know that community engagement is a cornerstone of events like this. How can local residents, businesses, and organizations get more involved in the summit, and what role do they play in its success?

A: Community engagement is indeed crucial to the summit’s success. Local residents participation includes attending the summit, volunteering, and spreading the word within their networks. Businesses and organizations can contribute by sponsoring the event, hosting workshops, or providing resources and materials, like the backpacks distributed this year. Their involvement is essential—the Hidden Opportunity Summit wouldn’t happen without everyone pulling together for the same cause.

Q5: As we look ahead, what are your long-term goals for the Hidden Opportunity Summit? Are there any plans to expand its reach or introduce new initiatives that will further empower the community?

A: Our long-term goal is to establishing the Hidden Opportunity Summit as a model for community-driven initiatives. We aim to make it an annual staple in New York and other underserved communities. New initiatives will include year-round programs that build on the summit’s themes, a financial literacy curriculum in local schools or a community-based entrepreneurship incubator. These initiatives provides ongoing support to participants, helping them apply what they learn at the summit in their daily lives.

Q6: Can you speak to the impact of having the lineup of prominent speakers and how that came about?

A: The lineup of prominent speakers, including industry leaders and community advocates, played a significant role in the summit’s success. Their expert opinion and insights provided attendees with valuable perspectives on workforce development, business growth, financial empowerment, and more. The range of speakers was a deliberate effort ensuring the discussion was not only informative but also relevant and inspiring to the audience.

Meet Antwon Grant, famed in media as Mr. Antwon. Experience his journey into radio, podcasts, liquor, and more.

Known in the media world as “Mr. Antwon”, Antwon Grant joined the industry in 2014 as the founder and host of Baltimore Flava Radio along with his team of Dame Hunter, Mocha Soule and the late comedian CJ Burney on the WPB Radio network. The show ran weekly on Friday nights at 10 PM, then moved to Wednesday nights at 7 when the move was made to the Radio On Fire Network. The show then moved to WMSK Online radio a year later and Antwon also co-created a show called Dad Rap which was his first paid hosting gig.

After being a part of 3 networks, Antwon decided to take things to the next level and along with his then partners, Jay McGraw and AMichele, started the Worldwide Flava network. The three brought along their previously created shows, Baltimore Flava Radio, Freestyle Friday, The Entrepreneur Corner, and Baltimore Flava Gospel, and signed several successful shows to the network.   Antwon and Jay McGraw then decided to re-brand and create the Power 4.4 radio, bringing along many shows and signing new shows as well. 

In 2020, just as the pandemic hit, Mr. Antwon, stepped down as host of Baltimore Flava Radio and as co-owner of Power 4.4 Radio, leaving it with Jay, and focused on personal life and health. In November of that year, he returned to the airwaves with The Access GRANTed Podstream….a podcast that he is running independently.  With this show, he has been able to connect with guests and audiences globally.  In addition to some well-known names such as Melba Moore, Speech from Arrested Development, Digital Underground and others, he has also made sure to keep a balance and interview many independent artists and entrepreneurs from around the country and specially keeping Baltimore artists as a focus of the show.  

In 2022, Antwon launched his signature Long Island Iced Tea (Dirty Half and Half), curated by his business partner TipseePheen.  There is also now a signature Rum Punch available.  The two just celebrated their first successful year with the signature drinks and the plan is to hopefully have these drinks available for retail in the coming year or so.  He has also just recently created Access GRANTed Enterprises, LLC which will serve as the parent company for media ventures, the signature drinks, merchandise and future business endeavors.
