“It feels strange yet exciting to have “Plateau Botticelli” out in the world. It’s been a very insular process making the album “Clay” (that “Plateau Botticelli” is the first single from), so to have it shared and heard around the world has been one of celebration and beauty but also one of subtle grief through the letting go of something that is no longer only yours. Sort of like a send off to a metaphorical child that is graduating and moving away from home for the first time. You feel proud and know that this is the natural order of things, but it is layered with many emotions. To summarize, I’m feeling pretty good! hahaha. 

Like with any art, I think it is counter-productive to tell people exactly what they should feel or take away from something, so long as they feel connected or moved by it. Catharsis is always the goal, and I hope the listener can feel a little lighter, seen, connected, or understood in the same way the many songs I love have helped and made me feel throughout my life.”
