J.Cole, Usher, Burna Boy and Drake to headline 2023 Dreamville Festival

The lineup for the Dreamville Festival has been announced for 2023. Drake and J. Cole will be headlining on Sunday, April 2. Usher will headline on Saturday, April 1. Burna Boy will also be performing a headlining set on Sunday.Per a press release, Drake will join Cole “as a special guest” for the set, which will see the two artists “perform a medley of hits from each of their chart-topping catalogs, which collectively have come to define the sound of a generation.”

Lil Durk, Ari Lennox, City Girls, Sean Paul, Summer Walker, GloRilla, Wacka Flocka Flame, Mario, and others will also hit the stage during the two day festival.

The event will go down on April 1 and 2, 2023 at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. Head here to purchase tickets

The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards returned to Radio City Music Hall in New York City and tbh, we’re still shook after watching our favorite celebs slay the red carpet and stage.

Your girl Cardi B opened the show with an exciting reveal of what we thought was her adorable baby, but turned out to be…..her moon person for Song of Summer, but the Bronx native went on to snag awards for Best New Artist and Best Collab later in the night. Shawn Mendes’ dripping performance of “In My Blood” had us sweating, Logic brought people facing immigration issues up on stage with him during “One Day,” and Panic! At The Disco had us dancing during “High Hopes.”

Additionally, it emerges as the #1 release on the Billboard Top 200, marking his 8th consecutive #1 bow on the respective chart. Not only did Scorpion achieve the biggest first week of 2018, but it also achieves the biggest first week since 2017.

Drake’s unparalleled RIAA reign also continues. He now has scored “the most RIAA certifications of any artist in history” with 142 million digital single sales to date.

Drake Confirms He Has a Son on His New Album Scorpion

In the devastating diss track “The Story of Adidon” released back in May, Pusha-T accused Drake of hiding a secret son, a child allegedly named Adonis, who he claimed the Canadian rapper was about to reveal to the world as a part of an Adidas collaboration. On his brand-new double album Scorpion, which dropped late Thursday night, Drake raps about trying to protect his son from internet rumors, single parenting, and finding out he was going to be a dad despite only meeting up with his child’s mother “two times.” All of which is to say, if Drake doesn’t have a kid, this is one hell of a concept album.

“Look at the way we live/ I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid,” Drake raps on “Emotionless.” “From empty souls who just wake up and look to debate/ until you staring at your seed, you can never relate.” He continues, “Breaking news in my life, I don’t run to the blogs/The only ones I wanna tell are the ones I can call/ They always ask, ‘Why let the story run if it’s false? / You know a wise man once said nothing at all.”

Drake makes other references to his child throughout the album, but his experience of fatherhood is the focus of Scorpion’s final track “March 14.” Raps Drake, “Yesterday morning was crazy / I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe / That shit is in stone, sealed and signed / She’s not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine / Sandi used to tell me all it takes is one time / Shit, we only met two times. Two times / And both times were nothing like the new times / Now it’s rough times/ I’m out here on front lines just tryna make sure that I see him sometimes.” Continues Drake, “It’s breaking my spirit / A single father, I hate when I hear it.”

On “March 14,” Drake also reveals his son’s birthday (October 11, a number the rapper got tattooed in the boy’s honor), the fact Nicki Minaj knew he had a kid and what seems to be custody issues with his child’s mother. “I got a empty crib in my empty crib / I only met you one time, introduced you to Saint Nick / Nicki must’ve brought you like 20 gifts / Your mother saying you growing so fast that they don’t really fit but, man, you know / I still had to get it for my boy tho.” Raps Drake, “Sorry, I’m venting trying to cover ground / They said in two weeks you’re supposed to come to town / Hopefully by the time you hear this, your mother and I will have come around instead of always cutting each other down / God willing / I got a good feeling.” You can stream the entire album on Apple Music now.

Drake and Lil Baby drop new song “Pikachu”

After teasing a collaboration earlier this month, Drake has dropped a new song with Atlanta rapper Lil Baby. It’s called “Pikachu” and it was premiered yesterday on OVO Sound Radio. Hear it below. The new song follows recent Drake verses on Trouble’s “Bring It Back” and BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive.” His new album Scorpion is due out later this year. Lil Baby’s most recent studio project Too Hard was released last year.

Drake announces 41-date tour with Migos

Drake is going on tour.

The 31-year-old announced the “Aubrey and The Three Amigos Tour” on Monday. Drake will be joined by “Walk It Talk It” collaborators Migos and special guests on the North American leg through the summer and fall.

The 41-date tour starts July 26 in Salt Lake City.

Drake has released the singles “God’s Plan” and “Nice For What” ahead of his anticipated fifth studio album “Scorpion.”

Migos have shared a new music video for their track with Drake, “Walk It Talk It.” In the clip, they throw it back to the ’70s, wigs and all. The trio and Drake appear on a dance-themed show called “Culture Ride” with actor Jamie Foxx playing host Ron Delirious. Watch it below. “Walk It Talk It” appears on Migos’ new album Culture II, which went on to No. 1. They recently performed two other tracks from the project, “Stir Fry” and “Narcos,” on “SNL.” Yesterday, Drake jumped on N.E.R.D’s “Lemon” remix, which Pharrell premiered on OVO Sound Radio.

Name a rapper who’s nicer than Drake. Spoiler alert: You can’t. Because Drake is the best. Here’s proof of that fact – Drake just dropped the video for new single God’s Plan, and he gave the entire budget for the video away to people that need it. The video opens with the caption: ‘The budget for this video was $996,631.90. We gave it all away. Don’t tell the label.’ On his tour of good deeds, the 31-year-old pays for strangers’ groceries, hands over wads of cash to struggling families, hands over the keys of new cars to teens, surprises kids with trolleys full of toys, and rather large donations to institutions like the Lotus Home Women’s Shelter, City of Miami Fire Department and University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. And if the video doesn’t bring a tear to your eye then frankly good sir, you are a monster. At one point the rapper sits with a young man and his mother, telling him: ‘We’re nothing without our mothers. ‘Gotta make sure you take care of your mom, too, no matter what you do. It’s all we got. Trust me. That’s my world.’ One of the last shots of the vid is of Drake – real name Aubrey Graham – hugging his ma. He had previously teased the release on Thursday on Instagram, hailing it as ‘the most important thing I’ve ever done in my career.’ God’s Plan appears on the his recently released EP, Scary Hours.

Drake set to claim a second week at Number 1

It looks like Drake won’t be moved from the top of the Official Singles Chart this week as his latest single, God’s Plan, is set to claim a second week at Number 1.

Last week the rapper and singer stormed to the top of the chart to claim his third Number 1 with the track, which features on his new Scary Hours EP.

Drake makes two more appearances in today’s Official Chart Update; on Migos’ Walk It Talk It from his new album Culture II, new at Number 30, and at 36 with Diplomatic Immunity, the other track from his EP.

Rising star Ramz holds firm at Number 2 with his breakthrough hit Barking, and Eminem’s River ft. Ed Sheeran is at 3.

Norwegian singer and winner of BBC’s Sound Of 2018 Sigrid could be claiming her first Top 10 single with Strangers, currently up ten places to Number 4, and Craig David’s I Know You ft. Bastille jumps from 10 to 5 following the release of his new album, The Time Is Now.

New entries and high climbers

US band Portugal The Man are on the cusp of entering the Top 10 this week with Feel It Still, so far up 11 places to Number 9, and Rudimental’s new single These Days ft. Jess Glynne and Macklemore is set to make a big climb, currently up 16 places to Number 17.

Further down, Justin Timberlake is on track to land his second Top 40 hit from his upcoming Man of the Woods album with Say Something (31), and Birmingham rapper Mist could be making his Top 40 debut with Game Changer, currently at Number 35
