]]> On Thursday, November 2, 2017 Hosea Helps hosted its Festival of Services Season Kick-Off Brunch in an effort to unveil the organization’s season theme, “Serving Hope to Where You Are,” discuss the upcoming holiday season events, and the organization’s new location. The event was held at The Champions Room (Formerly The 755 Club) located 755 Hank Aaron Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30315, which was sponsored by Georgia State University. In addition to Congressman Ivory Young attendees included representatives from Atlanta’s premier media outlets including FOX 5, CBS, Crossroads News, V103, The Huffington Post and more. Also in attendance were some of Hosea Helps’ top corporate and media sponsors including The City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office, The Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia State University, Kroger and Publix,The Atlanta Voice and 108 Praise Radio. Guests enjoyed a catered brunch, entertainment, and networking.

The purpose of the event was to energize staff, volunteers, supporters and Atlanta’s premier media outlets for the upcoming major events held by Hosea Helps which include The Annual Great Turkey Drop-off, taking place on Thursday, November 9 at the DeKalb County Jail located at 4415 Memorial Drive Decatur, GA 30032 and the organization’s annual Thanksgiving dinner. During the Thanksgiving dinner attendees not only receive a hearty meal but are also offered access to clothing, shoes, medical services, flu shots, showers, toiletries, beauty/barber services and more at no cost.
