Beastie Boys‘ Mike D has confirmed that there will be a memoir about the legendary group coming out later this year.

47-year-old Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch died in 2012 from cancer and the two surviving members, Mike D and Ad-Rock, have been working on a book since 2013.

Speaking to Beats 1‘s Matt Wilkinson, Mike D said:

“It’s going to come out finally.

“Like many things we embark on, there are many false starts and directions we went in that were not the directions we should be going in, but it’s going to be coming out in the fall of this year.”
