London-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Waz-u returns with his second album, Preludes: Dusk Psalms, set for release on 16 May 2025 via independent label Biodiversity. The 15-track record further refines the artistic depth of his debut, blending electronic textures and classical compositional techniques in an intricate, immersive listening experience.

Ahead of the album release, Waz-u is dropping an exclusive vocal version of ‘Vermillion: G Major’ from the album, accompanied by its original instrumental version. ‘Vermillion’ with Lilyg will be released on 18 April 2025, evoking intimate indie-folk and pop and follows the release of a vocal version of ‘Lament’ with Tom Norrington. ‘The singles are a way to give a voice to the atmosphere of the record and to lyrically encapsulate some of the themes explored,’ explains Waz-u. ‘Lily and Tom are good friends of mine and have both been listening to early iterations of these preludes – it felt right to involve them directly on this record.’

‘Preludes: Dusk Psalms’ marks a new branch of Waz-u’s emerging sound, guided by the duality of tradition and innovation. Combining his musical roots in early ‘90s dub techno and classical music, the album weaves carefully layered synthesizers and electronics to evoke the ambience of sacred music — from the gentle timbres of a choir or an organ to the quiet, open, and reverberating spaces of a church. Also featured throughout the album is experimental musician G9 LUV, who creates textures and drones by bowing his bass guitar, resulting in cello-like sounds. The release follows Waz-u’s 2024 debut LP, Prayer For Dawn, which merged dub, techno, and electronica in an exploration of the ritualistic traditions associated with both organized religion and dance.

Bringing the album’s themes to life, Waz-u will celebrate the release of Preludes: Dusk Psalms with a special performance at Our Holy Redeemer in Clerkenwell, London on 14 May 2025. Set against the church’s resonant acoustics, the event will feature live performance arrangements, including a choir, with further details to be announced soon.

Americana artist and Louisiana native Richard Daigle is proud to release his latest single, “Cajun Getaway,” a heartfelt, roots-infused ode to spontaneous adventure and the culture that shaped him. The song was recently recognized as a semi-finalist in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition, affirming Daigle’s growing presence in the Americana songwriting landscape.

Rooted in Daigle’s Cajun heritage and inspired by childhood memories, “Cajun Getaway” captures the anticipation of a spontaneous road trip more than the destination itself. “I had the tune in mind before the lyrics,” says Daigle, “but as the writing process began, I found myself wanting to bottle that feeling of planning a last-minute escape — especially one steeped in the familiar joy of Louisiana’s rich culture.”

The track includes the evocative line:
“We’ll drive on down to the end of the world, we’ll know we’re there when we hit Grand Isle.”
For Daigle, Grand Isle isn’t just a geographic marker at the southern tip of Louisiana — it’s a touchstone from childhood, a memory of long drives to his uncle’s camp along a lonely two-lane road. “As a kid, it felt like we were driving to the edge of the earth,” he recalls.

“Cajun Getaway” joins Daigle’s earlier release “Cajun People” in celebrating Cajun culture, something that runs deep in his blood: both of his parents were Cajun, and their influence remains central to his music.

A retired writer/editor and communications specialist, Daigle is a self-described “late bloomer artist,” who released his debut CD in 2020. Now based in Chattanooga, TN, he performs across the Southeast, blending homespun stories, sly humor, and poignant reflections in a style reminiscent of John Prine, one of his greatest influences.

In fact, Daigle’s connection to Prine spans decades — from attending a packed bar show in 1977 to interviewing Prine in 1979 as a young reporter, and finally seeing him again on New Year’s Eve in 2016. That story inspired another of Daigle’s songs, “John Prine, A Friend of Mine,” which pays homage not just to Prine’s genius but to his humanity.

“Songwriting is how I process life,” Daigle shares. “I was blessed to be married for 34 years to Jan White Daigle, a beautiful soul who passed away in 2014. Since then, I’ve leaned on music — and the stories in it — to make sense of grief, joy, and everything in between.”

With “Cajun Getaway,” Daigle invites listeners on a musical road trip that’s as much about nostalgia and hope as it is about destination. It’s Americana at its most honest — unpolished, heartfelt, and deeply human.

Speaking on the new project the emcee revealed “there’s a lot of growth from my last project to this one.  My other projects were very grimy and hard-hitting.  I’ve grown as a man since then, experiencing fatherhood so this is probably my most personal work.  I tackle subjects including race, family, betrayal and love.”

Blue Foundation are proud to announce the release of, ‘Ecstasy in Space’, the third single from their forthcoming new album ‘Close to the Knife’, which is set for release on April 18^th. Recorded in 2024 and written by Tobias Wilner, this dreamy, shoegazey track takes listeners on a sonic journey through ethereal soundscapes and pulsating rhythms, capturing the essence of liberation and desire. The track also introduces a new member to the Blue Foundation lineup, Nina Dahlgaard Larsen, who provides vocals on this song.

‘Ecstasy in Space’ is a fuzzy and delicious snowball of pure dream pop that calls you to surrender to the moment. The track tells you to hold on tight and glide with grace and reminds you that true ecstasy comes from the freedom of choice and the strength to surrender. On the single, Tobias Wilner said, “I wanted to capture my feeling of floating high on feelings”. His words echo in the refrain, “Wish you were mine”.

The music video for “Ecstasy In Space” is a dreamy journey into the energy and emotion of a group of young people in Copenhagen. Shot with an artistic and cinematic aesthetic, the video follows them as they venture into the night on their way to an underground warehouse party. The music video, directed by Hannah Bertram, is a visual poem – hypnotic, raw and nostalgic.

Founded in 2000 by Danish singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Tobias Wilner, the group was inspired by Mark E. Smith’s method of forming a band (The Fall), with Wilner recruiting a rotating lineup of traditional musicians over the years to fuel creativity. Since 2010, the core members of the band have been Tobias Wilner and Bo Rande, working between Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and Copenhagen, Denmark.
