U.S. Bank Joins Habitat LA as Sponsor of the Official 2023 Los Angeles Builders Ball After Party for the Third Year

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is excited to share that two-time Emmy-Award winning daytime TV host, actress, comedian, author and philanthropist Loni Love will serve as Celebrity Ambassador for the 2023 Los Angeles Builders Ball.® The 2023 Builders Ball will be held on Wednesday, March 8 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, and is Habitat LA’s largest annual fundraiser. Aptly themed “Rise Up,” proceeds from the annual ‘party-with-a-purpose’ contribute to Habitat LA’s efforts to build and preserve affordable housing, featuring red carpet arrivals, a spirited live auction and exciting live entertainment by singer, songwriter and Award-winning actress, Andra Day. 

In her role as ambassador, Love will use her powerful voice and extensive social networks to amplify Habitat LA’s work raising awareness and funds to help empower families, and build strength and stability in our communities through homeownership. As the evening celebrates the work of individuals and companies who are helping to transform the landscape of Los Angeles, Loni will share live updates and exclusive moments with the evening’s honorees and attendees across social media. They include Global Habitat Humanitarians Drew and Jonathan Scott (Property Brothers), recipients of the Dream Builder Award; leading global toy company, Mattel, which is being recognized with the Foundation Builder Award; and construction firm The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, named the 2023 Builder of the Year.

Love is an Emmy, NAACP Image and Gracie Award winner, who currently serves as a judge on Criss Angel’s Magic with The Stars on The CW, and is set to co-host the 2023 E! News Oscars Live Red CarpetLoni also hosts Stellar TV’s syndicated docuseries Mentoring Queens, about African American female mentors and their support for young women. She co-hosts Squirrel Friends, the RuPaul Drag Race podcast as well as Café Mocha, a nationally syndicated radio show for women of color.

‘The Race of Love’ movie arrives at the Cannes Film Festival

The film has its world premiere on Friday 17 May at Cinéma Olympia

CANNES – ‘THE RACE OF LOVE’ arrives at the Marché du Film of the Cannes Film Festival. The film, a romance, is produced by Enrico Pinocci and directed by Alfio D’Agata, with an international cast: Ciara Hanna ( ‘Stars Fell On Alabama’, ‘Stars Fell Again’, ‘Power Rangers Megaforce’), Thomas Gipson (‘Love’s Fast Lane’, ‘Burning Little Lies’), Blanca Blanco (‘Eye for Eye’, ‘Betrayed’), Letizia Pinocci (‘Mission Possible’, ‘6 Children & 1 Grandfather’) and Harmony McElligott (‘You Can Do Better’,’ Life Whack’).

The protagonists of the film are James, who’s single by choice, and Judy, whose work makes her relationships difficult and complicated. After a series of coincidences that bring them together, and more than a few twists and turns, their hearts start to open to each other.

The film has its world premiere on Friday at 6pm at the Olympia 2 cinema in Cannes.

It was shot in Los Angeles and around the evocative racetracks of Vallelunga (the main location), Misano, Rio and Monte Carlo.

Thomas Gipson, Blanca Blanco, Letizia Pinocci, Vincenzo Bocciarelli and Romano Pigliacelli will be at the screening.

Movie On Pictures is at the Marché du Film for distribution agreements for the film ‘The Race of Love’, after the success of ‘Mission Possible’, which was distributed to 83 broadcasters and 40 territories.

Upcoming films are: The Strength of Love (romance) currently in production, Against Time (action crime thriller), The New Joker (action crime thriller), All Need For A Kiss (romance), The Dog of Christmas (romance), and Falling in Love in Venice (romance).
