Julixn Gets Playful With Mood And Mystery On New Single “Blurred Lines”
Minneapolis artist Julixn has a knack for making music that feels dark, moody, and emotionally charged while still staying unpredictable. His new single, “Blurred Lines,” is no exception. It’s a song that drifts comfortably in that space where nothing is clearly defined but everything feels intentional.
The track started with an instrumental Julixn found from one of his favorite producers. He knew right away that it had a mix of genres woven together, which inspired the rest of the song and gave it its title. Julixn keeps his studio setup simple. With just a MacBook, a mic, an interface, headphones, and a notepad in his room, he manages to create music that feels full and cinematic. He tests mixes in his car and shares them with a few close friends before calling it finished.
“Blurred Lines” blends guitars, a live drum kit, and lots of textured sounds from foley and effects to create an immersive listening experience. It’s a song that captures the beauty of the unclear, the undefined, and the in-between. Julixn describes it as a track for all things blurry, and you can really feel that in the way it moves and shifts.
