“Bloom is a song about breaking free from the roles that others place on us and reclaiming the confidence to live life on our own terms,” says Ferrara. “For much of my life, I felt people tried to fit me into a version of myself that felt comfortable to them—whether it was the quiet friend who tagged along or someone who didn’t speak up. In my younger years I used to shrink. These days, I’m unlearning that conditioning and embracing my worth.”

Katie Ferrara’s path to success began on the streets of Los Angeles, where she performed as a busker in Burbank, Santa Monica, and local farmers markets.
