Vizra Releases Second Single of 2024, ‘Steady Paid’

Published

Vizra, the rising star in the Nigerian hip-hop scene, is back with his latest single, ‘Steady Paid.‘ Set to become an instant club hit, ‘Steady Paid’ is Vizra’s second release of 2024, following the successful drop of ‘Rain Drop’ in January.

Produced by the talented Chify Jay, ‘Steady Paid’ explores themes of the good life and luxury living. With its catchy beats and relatable lyrics, this track is a celebration of the hustle and the rewards that come with it.

When asked about the inspiration behind ‘Steady Paid,’ Vizra shared with Amplify Ghana: “The inspiration behind ‘Steady Paid’ is life in general. As I say in the lyrics, ‘Ifugo udi ndu anyi na ebi Monday to Sunday anyi no ezi,’ which means ‘you have seen the kind of life we are living, Monday to Sunday we are outside.‘ It signifies the daily hustle to stay paid, to feed our families, to keep our name, and to enjoy all the good things in life.”

This new single showcases Vizra’s evolving artistry and his dedication to his craft. With each release, he continues to unveil new facets of his talent, promising more exciting music to come.

Spaceman drops “Geometry” ft. Kyle Rapps

Interstellar word-smith Spaceman comes with “Geometry” on new single.  Guest featuring Kyle Rapps, and produced by The Suspect (Allegedly), Spaceman said the single “is about pattern recognition. Or maybe the pitfalls of pattern recognition. Regardless, certain patterns in life, once you see them you can’t unsee them, and there’s a weight to that. A presence.”  Indeed the track probes the tension between perception and reality, how recognition can clarify, or distort.

Speaking on his link-up with Kyle Rapps, Spaceman relayed “I’ve been knowing Kyle Rapps for a long time, he’s another guy I knew through Inner City Kids (my first group). We did a song forever ago and haven’t really done anything since but in general the thing about Kyle Rapps is he just has this preternatural sense of word economy; he’ll convey an idea in such deceptively simple phrasing that you might even miss the depth at first. He has such an intuitive approach to language I knew he could convey the texture I was looking for.”

Available via all streaming platforms, “Geometry” is the third single in Spaceman’s “Social Skills” series to drop this year.  After releasing three entirely solo projects, he devised doing this series as a step out of his comfort zone and collaborate with other rappers that he respects.  The previous two singles included “Mumblecore” featuring his former Inner City Kids Collective cohorts ABGOHARD and Producer K3Mal as well as “Think Twice” featuring Fatboi Sharif and produced by The Suspect (Allegedly).
