Adrianna Freeman Releases Soulful New Single, “The Price”
Country artist Adrianna Freeman, whose soulful storytelling and authentic artistry have captured the hearts of fans worldwide, unveils her newest single, “The Price.” Produced by renowned country music producer Bill McDermott (Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley), this fiery Delta Blues-inspired track blends captivating vocals, haunting melodies, and a cautionary tale of love, betrayal, and vengeance.
Freeman, born in Tallahassee, FL, grew up immersed in music influenced by her father, a former sharecropper, and her grandfather. Her love for country music blossomed despite being surrounded by peers who gravitated toward R&B. Inspired by the heartfelt cries of legends like Loretta Lynn and Patty Loveless, Freeman developed her talents performing in church, at county fairs, and recording demos. Over time, her artistry matured, leading her to write songs that resonate deeply with listeners.
Her career took off after catching the attention of Teddy Gentry from the legendary band Alabama. Gentry praised her voice, likening it to that of Tammy Wynette, and lent his support to her early projects. Freeman’s debut single, “Just A Girl,” addressed challenges faced by children in broken homes and became the theme song for The National Network for Youth (NN4Y). Her debut album, “Either You Do or You Don’t,” garnered rave reviews and international acclaim.
Building on her growing legacy, Freeman released the poignant “I Ran Out of Whiskey Yesterday” in May 2024 and followed it with “Halo” in September 2024, which transported listeners to a southern Sunday morning with a powerful visual twist.
Now, Freeman brings a fresh energy with “The Price,” an up-tempo, blues-infused track that tells the riveting story of Sally and Meeks, a couple whose fiery love descends into betrayal and revenge. With vivid imagery and Freeman’s commanding vocals, the song explores the consequences of wrath and the delicate balance between redemption and ruin.
“The Price is an up-tempo song with a Delta Blues feel,” says Freeman. “The expressive vocal performance and Blues licks tell the cautionary tale of two lovers who let the sun go down on their wrath.”
Recorded at Treasure Isle Studios in Nashville, TN, “The Price” features a stellar lineup of musicians:
Jacob Schrod – Drums
Chris Autry – Bass
Carl Minor – Acoustic Guitars
James Mitchell – Electric Guitars
Gabe Klein – Keyboards
With its blend of country and blues, “The Price” delivers a transcendent soundscape that leaves listeners enthralled. A music video for the song, exploring its cinematic narrative of love, vengeance, and redemption, will be released soon.
Adrianna Freeman’s unwavering authenticity, powerful voice, and heartfelt songwriting continue to position her as a standout artist in country music.
