ADRIANNA Gets Two Very Different Lives From ‘Power Back’
There’s something satisfying about a remix EP that actually gives a track a reason to exist twice. On ‘Power Back’, ADRIANNA hands the controls to Italian techno heavyweight T78, who responds with two radically different interpretations that push the original in opposite directions.
The two-track EP launches the ADRIANNARCHY remix series, a seven-week run leading into the release of her forthcoming album. But while the wider campaign is clearly building towards something bigger, these remixes are more than a teaser. They stand confidently on their own.
The Peak Time Remix is the more immediate of the two. It wastes little time establishing its intentions, opening with thunderous percussion before ADRIANNA’s ethereal vocal enters against a spacious atmospheric backdrop. The contrast works particularly well. Her voice gives the track a sense of lift and vulnerability, while T78 keeps the foundations firmly planted in heavy, driving techno.
Then comes the drop, and subtlety largely disappears. The kick and low end take over, pushing ‘Power Back’ firmly into peak-time territory. The repeated breakdowns and builds give the track the kind of structure designed for a darkened club, where tension can be stretched before the floor erupts again.
The Trance Remix takes a completely different route. Chiptune-like synth plucks and swelling choir textures give the opening a surprisingly cinematic quality before the whole thing transforms into a full-bodied trance workout. It’s more melodic and euphoric than its counterpart, but T78 doesn’t sacrifice the weight that defines his production.
That contrast is what makes the EP work. The two versions aren’t simply minor variations on the same idea. One is built around impact, the other around emotion, with both retaining the vocal identity of ADRIANNA’s original.
It also feels like a natural pairing for an artist whose rise has been built around high-energy techno. With support from names including Charlotte de Witte, Adam Beyer and Nicole Moudaber, and appearances at venues and festivals across Europe, ADRIANNA has already established herself as an artist comfortable operating at serious club intensity.
Now, with ADRIANNARCHY due on 23 October, the remix series is giving that sound a whole new set of angles. T78’s ‘Power Back’ is a strong opening move, proving that sometimes the best way to take a track forward is to pull it apart and find out just how much pressure it can withstand.

Naomi Aguilera casts her spell with her new single BB ILY
Two years ago, Naomi Aguilera walked onto my radar with EGO, an infectious soulful pop debut that made it impossible not to move. Fast forward to her debut EP Mosaïques, and it was clear she wasn’t just passing through. Personal, colorful, rooted in her Spanish heritage & Brussels upbringing, it even earned her a spot as Apple Music Benelux’s Up Next artist!
Now she’s back with BB ILY, marking the start of a new era. The bilingual single — French and English — is built around one of the most universal human experiences: that special connection that doesn’t need translation. Where EGO invited you to forget your ex on the dancefloor, BB ILY pulls you somewhere more intimate: with sultry beats courtesy of Turana, it’s a dance where gestures, whispers, sighs and the sound of a voice matters more than the words that come out of it… It’s sensual, a little mystical, and entirely her own.
First taste of Naomi Aguilera’s upcoming project Ojalá, due in 2027, it feels effortlessly catchy. This is the kind of track that casts its spell quietly, with interesting and unexpected rhythmic shifts in the verses, and a delicious chorus that lodges itself in your head before you even notice. By the time you do, it’s too late. But you won’t find me complaining about it!
