BIQD’s latest single, “This Love Is On Fire,” is a striking addition to Nigeria’s burgeoning hip-hop scene, delivering a soundscape that’s both intimate and electrifying. From the outset, Skilla’s production lays down an atmospheric groove that perfectly complements BIQD’s emotional intensity. The fusion of soulful melodies with haunting sonic textures makes this track an immersive experience that lingers long after the final bar.

What sets this song apart is BIQD’s lyrical vulnerability—he raps with a rawness and honesty that cuts straight to the heart. His storytelling pulls you deep into the turmoil and passion of love, capturing both desire and heartbreak with equal finesse. It’s a refreshing blend of strength and sensitivity, a balance not often achieved in today’s hip-hop landscape.

Born in Imo State and now flourishing in Lagos, BIQD is already making waves with a sound that draws on global influences yet remains distinctly Nigerian. “This Love Is On Fire” reflects his journey, marrying contemporary inspirations like Central Cee and Drake with the melodic richness of his early heroes Psquare and Westlife. The result is a fresh, compelling voice that stands out.

The track also marks a confident step forward in BIQD’s rapid rise. Having made a strong impression with his debut EP “D’s Genesis” and breakout single “BigD,” this new release shows growth and depth. BIQD’s ability to convey hope and emotional clarity in his music cements his position as a formidable talent to watch.

In sum, “This Love Is On Fire” is a powerful anthem for anyone who’s ever felt the heat of love’s complexities. BIQD’s blend of lyrical precision, evocative production, and heartfelt storytelling makes this track a must-listen in the evolving soundscape of Nigerian hip-hop.
