Published

on

The musical tastes of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Catlea range widely, encompassing pop, rock, alt-indie, and electronic dance music. The alt-indie singer’s voice is a mix of raw, forceful, and beautiful. Catlea performs the piano, ukulele, acoustic guitar, and rhythm guitar to complement their unique vocals.

For their forthcoming full-length album titled, Language Barrier, the Cincinnati native worked closely with producer Jason Boshoff (Ed Sheeran, Josh Groban, David Grey, Rufus Wainwright) of Room to Studios in Barcelona, Spain, spending three years writing, producing, and refining ten new alt-indie songs. Every voice track by Catlea was recorded locally at PLAY Audio, formerly known as Gwynne Sound.

They return with their latest offering ‘Like Me’. With a powerful tune and amazing vocals, ‘Like Me’ is an emotional journey that speaks to our yearning for connection. It builds nicely to a loud, poignant finish of inspiration and optimism. Remain still. Remain persistent. Things will improve. You’re not by yourself. There are people out there just like you.

The delivery of Catlea’s vocals, which is characterised by its charisma and energy, is particularly noteworthy. The song’s lyrical content is wonderfully complemented by the singer’s confident and attitude-filled voice. The song’s lyrics exalt self-expression and acceptance while enticing listeners to value their individuality and genuineness.

The song’s recognisable hooks and memorable chorus contribute to its influence. The catchy melody of the song makes it simple for listeners to join in and absorb its positive message of acceptance of oneself. It’s a self-assured and uplifting piece of music that embraces originality and radiates confidence. The rhythmic instrumental opening of the song instantly draws in the listener and establishes a positive and joyful mood.

Catlea’s ‘Like Me’ is a skillfully written, upbeat song that communicates concepts of individuality and self-empowerment. The song is a call to embrace individuality and celebrate authenticity with its self-assured voice, strong lyrics, and lively instrumental arrangement. Highlighting enthusiastic pop tunes, catchy beats, and an energetic production is the instrumental arrangement, these components work in unison to produce an enticing and danceable soundscape making it a well-executed production. For individuals who enjoy songs that promote self-expression and acceptance of oneself, this is an engaging and inspirational listen.

Big Media Creative, who also produced Twenty One Pilots’ ‘Stressed Out’ music video, produced the ‘Like Me’ music video.

“I love writing songs, making music, and performing live,” said Catlea. Their songs feature catchy “earworms” with witty lyrics and melodies that get inside your head and make you want to click replay. “I try to create music that has personal meaning to me and anyone listening.”

Wendy Stuart is an author, celebrity interviewer, model, filmmaker and along with If These Walls Could Talk she hosts TriVersity Talk, a weekly web series with featured guests discussing their lives, activism and pressing issues in the LGBTQ Community.

Tym Moss is a popular NYC singer, actor, and radio/tv host who recently starred in the hit indie film “JUNK” to critical acclaim.

With the recent release of William Keck’s best-selling “When You Step Upon A Star: Cringeworthy Confessions of a Tabloid Bad Boy” (https://whenyoustepuponastar.com/), William Keck writes about the hundreds of public personalities he reported and spied on. Keck openly discusses both the famous and infamous who feared or hated him, and those who transitioned to admiration or friendship.

Drawing from his three decades working as an entertainment reporter for such publications as the National Enquirer, People, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today and the Los Angeles Times, and as an Emmy-nominated producer for Hallmark Channel, Discovery Channel and NBC, Keck confesses ALL about his most memorable celebrity encounters that (for one reason or another) went horribly wrong.  Far more than a shocking admission of past sins, When You Step Upon A Star chronicles the repentant author’s own evolution from a lonely only child obsessed with Hollywood stars, to an eager tabloid snoop keeping personal secrets of his own, to a well-respected journalist who ultimately learns from his mistakes, changes his wicked ways and befriends the celebrities he’d once wronged.
