Ghanaian gospel sensation Cwesi Oteng recently opened up about the reason for his long break from the music scene. During a media tour to promote his latest song ‘Your Love’.

The award-winning singer discussed his absence with hosts Evergreen Asantewaa and Margaret Barden on Shobiz TV. This came after his successful hits in 2012.

The composer of the popular track “God dey bless me” expressed that he felt the need to step back and recharge himself. Cwesi Oteng, considering himself someone who takes a thoughtful approach, explained that he takes time to work on his thinking, heart, and thoughts until he feels satisfied before moving forward.

Pastor Cwesi Oteng revealed that he is not in competition with anyone and prefers not to be constantly in the public eye. He is comfortable with his personality and nature. Despite being on a media tour to promote his new song, “Your Love,” released on January 2, 2024, Cwesi Oteng shared exciting news about upcoming projects.

“Even as I am pushing this song, my band is rehearsing for my next project,” he stated.

Emphasizing his preference for a more discreet presence, the singer is solidly working behind the scenes, keeping fans in suspense. Cwesi Oteng’s second album, “Mercy Project,” released in 2012, has received widespread acclaim globally, featuring hit songs like “God dey bless me,” “Kabiyesi,” and “I win.”

His latest track, “Your Love,” is now available on all digital platforms, and Cwesi Oteng continues his media tour to spread the word in his song further.
