Cwesi Oteng Shares the true story behind His Break from the Music Scene

Ghanaian gospel sensation Cwesi Oteng recently opened up about the reason for his long break from the music scene. During a media tour to promote his latest song ‘Your Love’.

The award-winning singer discussed his absence with hosts Evergreen Asantewaa and Margaret Barden on Shobiz TV. This came after his successful hits in 2012. 

The composer of the popular track “God dey bless me” expressed that he felt the need to step back and recharge himself. Cwesi Oteng, considering himself someone who takes a thoughtful approach, explained that he takes time to work on his thinking, heart, and thoughts until he feels satisfied before moving forward. 

Pastor Cwesi Oteng revealed that he is not in competition with anyone and prefers not to be constantly in the public eye. He is comfortable with his personality and nature. Despite being on a media tour to promote his new song, “Your Love,” released on January 2, 2024, Cwesi Oteng shared exciting news about upcoming projects.

 “Even as I am pushing this song, my band is rehearsing for my next project,” he stated. 

Emphasizing his preference for a more discreet presence, the singer is solidly working behind the scenes, keeping fans in suspense. Cwesi Oteng’s second album, “Mercy Project,” released in 2012, has received widespread acclaim globally, featuring hit songs like “God dey bless me,” “Kabiyesi,” and “I win.” 

His latest track, “Your Love,” is now available on all digital platforms, and Cwesi Oteng continues his media tour to spread the word in his song further.

International Recording Artist Giorgia Fumanti Guests On “Live On Tape With Pete Trabucco”

International recording artist/composer/music producer Giorgia Fumanti made a guest appearance on the hit radio show “Live On Tape With Pete Trabucco” on WWDB-AM Talk 860. 

Born in the medieval village of Fivizzano in Tuscany and raised in Aulla and Monterosso, Giorgia Fumanti studied voice at the prestigious Conservatorio di Musica Arrigo Boito in Parma. Her talent caught the ear of the record industry, and so she relocated to Montreal in 2002, where she signed a record deal with ISBA and released her debut album Like a Dream. She then went international in 2007 with From My Heart, issued through Manhattan/EMI.

In the ensuing two decades, she’s made a total of 13 albums, netting 25 million lifetime streams, and racking up worldwide sales of over 1.5 million. She’s performed with the world’s top orchestras in some of the most famous venues, from London’s Royal Albert Hall and Greece’s Athens Arena to New York’s Times Square and China’s Beijing Olympics. She’s shared the stage with musical heavyweights such as Michael Bolton, Jose Carreras, Lang Lang and Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues—not to mention regional sensations like France’s Alain Barriere and Greece’s Mario Frangoulis, as well as Italian superstars Zucchero, Lucio Dalla, Albano and Gino Paoli. Along the way, she recorded a duet of “Nessun Dorma” with Luciano Pavarotti, and even had the honor of meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican.
