Deep Purple’s Ian Gillan Takes His “Talking Gib’rish” Tour Across the UK in 2027
One of the defining voices in rock history is taking his stories and songs on the road. Ian Gillan — born in Hounslow, London, and renowned worldwide as the voice of Deep Purple — will tour the UK with his ‘Talking Gib’rish Tour’ beginning in April 2027 and running throughout May, with tickets on sale now through BookingsDirect.com, Eventim and the venues.
The announcement even comes with a bit of festive mischief: fans can enter a competition to win a pair of tickets to a venue of their choice, with entries closing December 1, 2026.
Gillan’s résumé barely fits in a paragraph: more than 79 studio albums recorded, global record sales exceeding 200 million, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a Grammy Hall of Fame award and the Ivor Novello International Award. Deep Purple’s latest album, SPLAT!, arrived July 3, 2026 — proof the voice that defined a genre is very much still working.

Joanne Shaw Taylor Wrestles With Love on New Album “The Trouble With Love”
British blues-rock guitarist Joanne Shaw Taylor has never hidden from a hard feeling, and her new studio album The Trouble With Love — out now via Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records — walks straight into the hardest one.
Produced by longtime collaborator Kevin Shirley, the 10-track album explores love, heartbreak and everything in between. Bonamassa himself joins her on the title track, and Orianthi guests on “What Good Is My Love?” The track list runs from “Hell Or High Water” and “Bad Boy” to “Tired Of Being Right” and “You And Me (Rachel’s Song),” a tribute to her best friend. The new single “Never Gonna Please ‘Em All” arrived alongside the album with an official music video.
Discovered at 16 by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, Shaw Taylor has stacked multiple No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Blues Albums chart. American fans get their turn next: her Fall 2026 U.S. Tour runs October 28 to November 21, from Albuquerque to Monterey, with Bywater Call and Robert Jon & The Wreck supporting.
