Feral Family Explores Love, Loss And Yearning With ‘So Far Behind’

Published

on

Indie trio Feral Family return with their second EP, So Far Behind, released on February 6th. The six-track release captures a band sharpening their sound, blending raw, riff-led intensity with moments of vulnerability and emotional depth. It’s a confident step forward that will appeal to fans of Fontaines D.C., Foals, and IDLES.

Influenced by the worlds of Frank Herbert and Sergio Leone, Feral Family build songs around towering guitars and widescreen dynamics. Previously described by Apricot Magazine as “one of the most compelling new acts in UK alternative music,” they were recently named Top Five finalists in a competition to support Only The Poets at their iconic £1 Brixton Academy show, selected from thousands of applicants. The band also earned a runner-up spot for Best Indie Band at Radio Wigwam’s annual awards and secured a place on KEXP’s playlist.

Produced by Liam Radburn, So Far Behind is driven by dynamic drum patterns and heavy guitar riffs. Opening track The Balance sets the tone with an impactful punch, while closer Down In The Dirt brings the EP to a powerful conclusion. Elsewhere, Endless Night pairs soaring vocals with thunderous guitar lines, and Taste Of Life highlights the emotional reach of frontman Jamie Lowe’s high-ranging vocals.

Jamie describes the EP as “more like a condensed album — six huge songs that we’re buzzing to deliver. There are some big, raw riffs in there, but the EP also peels back deeper layers of our sound.” He also points to the arrival of new drummer Regan Grimson, whose energy “brings even more heat to these tracks.”

Following a brief hiatus after their 2023 debut album Without Motion, So Far Behind signals the start of an exciting new chapter for Feral Family. The band will mark the release with an EP launch show in London on February 6th, before heading out on further dates across the North of England, including support slots for The Nightswimmers in Leeds and Avid Fan in Manchester.

Avohee Avoher Releases “Avohee Meets Bach”A Spiritual Collision of Bach, Choral Power and Modern Dance Energy -Now Available Worldwide

Published

on

Johann Sebastian Bach wrote music that moved with force. Beneath the structure lived tension, release, devotion and emotion. More than three centuries later, that energy returns through Avohee Meets Bach, the third release in Avohee Avoher’s Addicted to Classics series.

This is not a remake. It is a rebirth.

Inspired by the emotional weight and architecture of Bach’s Chaconne in D minor from Partita No. 2, BWV 1004, and the legendary piano transcription tradition of Ferruccio Busoni, Avohee Meets Bach transforms classical intensity into a modern dance experience built for movement, atmosphere and emotional release.

Ancient meets modern.

Operatic choir rises through hypnotic rhythm. Sacred Latin phrases intertwine with haunting German whispers. Spiritual energy collides with underground pulse. Emotion builds, pressure rises, tension releases.

Kyrie eleison.
Lux aeterna.

The result is cinematic, uplifting, sensual and powerful.

Created for the dance floor but carrying the weight of classical tradition, Avohee Meets Bach moves between worlds. It belongs equally in the underground club, the international festival arena and the listener seeking something deeper inside electronic music.

This is not nostalgia.

It is transformation.
