Ghanaian actor and MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo has shown his commitment to students by organizing a free makeup and photoshoot session for first-year students at the University of Ghana. The event took place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, during their matriculation ceremony.

Dumelo, who wanted to make the day special for the freshers, shared the initiative on social media, saying, “Over the weekend, I organized free makeup and photoshoot for the Level 100s of the University of Ghana. I know how much they cherish such events… I always dey 4 them.”

Aside from creating memorable experiences, the event also gave Dumelo a chance to interact with students and discuss ways to improve their campus life.

This is not the first time Dumelo has supported the university community.

In the past, he has provided free buses for students to convey them to their various destinations during vacations, organized academic support sessions, and donated streetlights to enhance campus security.

Many students appreciate his efforts and see him as a leader who genuinely cares about their well-being.

As the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon and the Deputy Minister-Designate for Food and Agriculture, Dumelo continues to show hands-on leadership, supporting the youth and contributing positively to the community.

Hold onto your leather jackets – the wildest ride of 2025 is here.

Steve Blacknell – TV face, radio voice, rock PR, and the man who dated Kate Bush – is dropping his bombshell memoir Tales From The Bedroom Wall on July 9th, and it is everything. The highs? Concorde with Phil Collins to Live Aid. MTV fame. Hanging with Alice Cooper, Lemmy, and David Cassidy – often in hot tubs or backstage chaos. The lows? Addiction. Broken hearts. A speedboat explosion!

His rollercoaster love life includes a marriage to iconic ‘60s groupie Catherine James, who once lived with Mick Jaggerand was Eric Clapton’s muse. But it’s not just name-dropping. Blacknell opens up about his bulimia, lost fortunes, and his long, winding path back to the love of his life, Maggie.

With a foreword from Bill Wyman and stories that read like a rockumentary on steroids, this memoir is as outrageous and addictive as the man himself.

Available July 9th from Old Treacle Press. Rock on.
