Kidd Called Quest drops “Ferocious” ft. RJ Payne & Pretty Bulli

Published

on

Beat-Smith Kidd Called Quest has unleashed the most “Ferocious” thing to come from Rochester since the Mountain Lion invaded the hood.  New single “Ferocious” is just that, a drum-driven, moody sample type of boom-bap heater topped with acidic spit from professional mic bruisers RJ Payne (Philadelphia) and Pretty Bulli (Buffalo, NY).

With a video to materialize shortly as well, “Ferocious” caps off a year of equally high-quality singles from Kidd Called Quest.  These include “Night Lights” featuring his Rochester, NY neighbor Mooch (Da Cloth) as well as several tracks with St. Paul Minnesota emcee Ken-C and some new joints with his Young Black And Gifted partner Azariah.

Tone Fultz & Messiah Of Madness drop “Fentanyl Fultz”

Published

Modern day Grime-lord Tone Fultz returns to peddle that audio dope in new single, “Fentanyl Fultz.”  Out now via streaming the producer drops the dissonant banger that meshes horns with some of most bombastic kick ever put to boom-bap.  Pulling double-duty, in addition to production Tone also talks greasy in his murderous mic alter-ego, Messiah Of Madness.

This single is the second leak from the forthcoming Tone Fultz LP, Bare Knuckle Boom Bap.  Fultz revealed originally it was supposed to be a producer album but “I ended up jumping on every track so it’s just as much of a Messiah Of Madness album.”

Previous single “Talk To Um” also featured a verse from Solomon Childs (Theodore Unit).  Fultz has a long-standing relationship with Solomon Childs as he has produced two tracks for him.  This includes his recent “Get On Your Knees” single.
