T.I., Killer Mike Join The New Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms Transition Team
- Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms, who won elected office in December, has tapped Killer Mike of Run the Jewels and T.I. to be part of her transition team, as FOX 5 Atlanta reports. The rappers join executives such as David Abney (CEO of UPS) and Edward Bastian (CEO of Delta Airlines) on the team, which will consult Mayor Bottoms on carrying out policy agenda items. “I am grateful to announce this 38-strong transition team,” she said during a press conference. “It represents a tremendous amount of diversity and depth, and really the best and the brightest in the city of Atlanta.”
Killer Mike took to Instagram to share his excitement regarding the news. “Remember all those ‘ig haters saying what they wish rappers and athletes wud do with their time, Money and resources,’” he wrote. “Well now that it’s happening u can STFU complaining and get active locally to help me, @troubleman31 & our New Mayor Make Atlanta a city where all it’s citizens can do the same no matter fame or status.”
