The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news that the show’s season finale this Sunday will be its last episode.

“While this may be the end of the Calloways’ story, we do believe that the themes ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ confronted over the seasons, through a unique mix of humor and sober observation, will be appreciated for the insightful, heartfelt way they were addressed,” Starz president Chris Albrecht said in a statement to THR. “We are proud of the show.”

Starz is saying goodbye to the show to make room for several new original series including the Latino drama “Vida” and “Sweetbitter,” a TV adaptation of Stephanie Danler’s best-selling book from executive producer Brad Pitt.

“Survivor’s Remorse,” which stars Jessie T. Usher, RonReaco Lee, and Erica Ash, is about a young basketball phenom just starting his pro career with his family in Atlanta. Though its ratings didn’t exactly light the world on fire during its four seasons, the program was well received by critics and viewers alike.

For James and business partner Maverick Carter, “Survivor’s Remorse” represented the first successful production for their fledging media company, SpringHill Entertainment.

James, who tips off another season with the Cavaliers on October 17, and Carter are currently developing a couple of new projects: a comedy about sneaker culture for HBO and a limited series about the life of entrepreneur and social activist Madam C.J. Walker starring Octavia Spencer.

The “Survivor’s Remorse” series finale airs on Starz this Sunday at 10 p.m.

Los Angeles, CA– Today, Comedian and entertainer Lil Duval teams up with the reigning king of line dance himself, Cupid, to release their latest singles “Go Auntie,” available now on all major streaming platforms. The infectious new track is a celebration of the stylish, confident, two stepping aunties that keep every family function lit – from weddings to backyard BBQs.

The release comes on the heels of a major honor for Cupid, who the State of Louisiana officially recognized as the Line Dance King of the World. But he’s not done yet.

On May 26th, 2025, just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, Cupid is back again with another summer banger, dropping “The Cookout (Remix)”, featuring southern hip-hop legends Bun B and Paul Wall. The remix is poised to be the go-to soundtrack for every grill master and family gathering this summer.

With being a 7x multi-platinum artist, Cupid proves yet again why he holds the crown – blending music, movement, and moments that bring people together.

“Go Auntie” is more than a song – it’s a vibe, a celebration, and a tribute to the unsung queens of the cookout,” says Cupid. “And we’re just getting started.”
