Next Gen Academy: Forsyth County’s 7v7 Standard
In Forsyth County, the best play in blue. Next Gen Academy — @nxt_genacademy, followed by more than 4,000 fans — carries the flag for Alpharetta-area 7v7, with a bio that makes the claim plainly: “The Best In Forsyth Play In” here, under the banners #Good2Great and #PaintTheTownBlue.
The academy was founded by Micah Keels, a former player who now coaches defensive backs at Denmark High School. It runs as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the mission runs past the field — the program also gives its players NCAA-eligibility guidance and college tours, the unglamorous work that turns athletes into signees.
The winning is not theoretical. In a single tournament during the 2026 offseason, Next Gen’s 9U, 13U and 15U teams each won championship titles — and the program’s ops feed records its 15U Black squad winning the BEA Showdown 15U tournament in Gainesville and being called the top 15U team in Georgia.
Next Gen is also a host with a reputation. Its Battle of North Georgia at Denmark High School has been described as one of the premier offseason events outside metro Atlanta, and the machine never really stops: tryout dates for 2027 are already announced, and the NextGen Passing Academy restarts November 18, 2026.

MoneyTeam Athletics: The Next Wave Is Here
MoneyTeam Athletics introduces itself without a hint of humility: the No. 1 upcoming program in the nation. The Georgia-based outfit — an elite national 7v7 program specializing in training and exposure, now in its third season — has spent 2026 backing the talk up, in front of more than 4,000 followers.
Start with the sweep. In one March weekend, MoneyTeam won both the 14U and the 15U championships at the same event, then added the Peach State Shootout 9U title two weeks later — three age groups, three crowns, one month.
The company it keeps says the rest. On The Sevens’ official teams page, MoneyTeam stands in the 15U division alongside Atlanta heavyweights Hustle Inc and Huncho Elite, and the program also tests itself on the FSG Tournament Series circuit.
And exposure is more than a word in the bio. Through the spring of 2026, the account’s offer posts told the story: MoneyTeam players earning college offers from Austin Peay, Miami (Ohio), Wagner, Bowling Green, Georgia Southern and Troy.
The program calls its newest class “The Next Wave of MoneyTeam.” On this evidence, believe it. Follow the program on Instagram at @moneyteam_athletics.
