In July 1988, Ronny Anderson’s expertise in music licensing and distribution caught the attention of the independent Canadian record label Brouhaha, where he was headhunted to serve as their A&R Manager. Founded by Pierre Laurin, Brouhaha Records aimed to carve its niche in the music industry with a roster of diverse and innovative artists.

During his tenure at Brouhaha, Anderson collaborated closely with in-house producer Colin Thurston and engineer Martin Aelred Colgan, forming a dynamic team that made significant strides in the music scene. Together, they signed and produced notable acts such as hard electronica band Westwon, Dennis Seaton (formerly of Musical Youth), Philip Japp, and UK Eurovision entry Live Report, which achieved chart success in the UK and garnered acclaim in the Eurovision contest.

Anderson’s time at Brouhaha Records was marked by his commitment to fostering talent and pushing creative boundaries, cementing his reputation as a visionary in artist development and A&R management.

Co-hosting alongside Chuckie (Chuck Armstrong), Obrivanova has played a key role in some of the show’s biggest live broadcasts, including Wonderama‘s spectacular 24-hour New Year’s Eve celebration from the heart of Times Square.
