Some Top Artistes Failed to Acknowledge and Pay Me After Helping Them Record Their hit Songs – Gospel Singer Richlove reveals challenge

Richlove Ofosuhemaa Boakye, Gospel singer, held a press conference to announce her return to the Gospel music scene and the launch of “THE PURPOSE CONCERT.”
During the conference, she opined about the difficulties she encountered while helping some mainstream artistes record their hit songs and albums.
In an exclusive interview with blogger SkBeatz Records, she indicated that this year marks her sixteenth year working with musicians and studio engineers.
Richlove, who specializes in recording overdubs and collaborating with studio engineers such as Bassey Mix, disclosed how individuals in the gospel music industry often go unacknowledged.
She mentioned several musicians whose productions she has contributed to, including Obaapa Christy, Ernest Opoku, Broda Sammy, the late Kofi B and more, highlighting songs that attendees at the press conference had not heard before. She revealed that many people don’t even know she was the voice behind so many hit songs.
Acknowledging the amazing musicians who have dedicated their time and talents to their productions, she also pointed out how some of them were ungrateful. She shared how she recorded overdubs for two albums without any support from the artiste, using her own money for transportation.
Admonishing musicians on this issue, she emphasized that everyone who plays a role in their production should be acknowledged.
“THE PURPOSE CONCERT,” featuring guest artistes such as Empress Gifty, Sandy Asare, Quame Gyedu, Jojo Arhin, and Sylaz Minkz, will showcase the unique relationships she has with these artistes and why she is featuring them at this event.
The free event, to be held at Family Chapel in Kumasi on August 4th, 2024, promises to be an impactful experience.
