Taylor Swift’s ‘Reputation’ first album to go double platinum in US in two years

Taylor Swift‘s current album, ‘Reputation‘, sold over 2 million albums in America alone according to Nielsen Music.

This makes it the first album in two years to go double platinum in the US.

The ‘Delicate‘ singer is embarking on her global reputation tour in May starting in the U.S., ending in New Zealand in November. She hits the road with Camila Cabello and Charli XCX and will play a total of 51 dates.

The last album to do so well was by another female solo artist, Adele. Her second studio album, ‘25‘, sold 2 million albums in its first three days of release. It has sold almost 10 million copies in the US so far.
