Tracy Eckstrand Shares New Single ‘Come Around’

Published

on

New York based folk-rock, singer-songwriter Tracy Eckstrand returns with her latest offering ‘Come Around’, available on all streaming platforms.

Taken from her soul-stirring masterful debut EP, Who Is Gonna Rescue You, ‘Come Around’ marks the project’s pivot, bringing the listener on an energetic and touching journey.

Vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard, and percussion are all used to produce this Americana, acoustic, rock, and pop track. Tracy’s vulnerability as a songwriter, lush vocals, and classic sound all bring the song together in a beautiful and emotive manner.

Tracy was experiencing a lot of emotional turmoil around the time she penned ‘Come Around’. From dealing with challenges in her job as a school psychologist, her mother dying in a nursing home, to her failing marriage, there was the heavy expectation to ‘hold it together’. The unneeded anxieties drove her to pick up her guitar and mess around with some chords. Words naturally flowed from her. “Everybody’s got their expectations. Everybody’s got their point of view. They think that you can help them, pick up their pieces, but they don’t know what you’ve been through,” she began to sing the verse. She questioned everything and needed an escape. She wrote ‘Come Around’ in the second person point of view as she did not want to make it as personal. “‘Who’s gonna come around’, was really a question I was asking myself during a very tough emotional period in my life,” Tracy comments.

Tracy Eckstand is paving her way into the music scene with her promising sound. For more updates on her, please visit her website, social media, and streaming platforms.
