Aethermancer’s Next Free Content Update, The Maverick’s Compendium, Launches Today

Published

on

offbrand games (Demon Bluff, Ultrapool, Rivals of Aether II) and moi rai games (Monster Sanctuary) have announced that the next free Early Access update for monster-taming roguelike Aethermancer, the Maverick’s Compendium update, is out now on Steam — featuring Kragg from Rivals of Aether.

The Maverick’s Compendium update includes a new player class, the Aether Maverick, built around variety and randomness, who unlocks exclusive buffs based on how many different types of monsters are in your party. It adds two new monsters — the community-designed Philosopher’s Stone monster, and Kragg from the Rivals of Aether universe. A new feature, the Siriux Journal, lets players track and unlock monster stats, lore and more in an expandable compendium, and a new Combat Log helps players track every second of fast-moving Aethermancer combat — plus more quality-of-life improvements.

Maverick’s Compendium is the third free content update for Aethermancer. Since launch, the game has added another playable character class — the Alchemist — alongside over a dozen new monsters, multiple new deity boss battles, the brand new Alchemical Woods biome, and loads of quality-of-life updates and improvements.

In Aethermancer, monster taming meets roguelite. Players become the Aethermancer and fight alongside mythical creatures, exploring the ever-changing Fractured Ruins, planning moves in challenging turn-based battles, and watching their monsters grow stronger from previous lives and defy death. Players form bonds with the monsters of Terastae, guide a party of three through a sprawling world and dangerous battles, and make smart skill choices as their monsters grow — every monster has a dynamic skill pool that reacts to previous choices and teammates, enabling a myriad of unique team builds with every run.

Aethermancer is available in Early Access on Steam, and review keys for the Maverick’s Compendium update are available on request.
