CardMonster Announces PUBG: Final Circle, a Tabletop Card Game Based on the PUBG IP

Published

on

CardMonster is thrilled to announce PUBG: Final Circle, a tabletop card game based on KRAFTON’s PUBG IP. PUBG is a global cultural icon that popularized the battle royale genre.

PUBG: Final Circle is a trick-taking battle royale card game for 2-5 players that sees players fighting to be the last survivor standing after several rounds.

Each player is assigned a character with a unique ability, and a new battleground is revealed each round. Players draw cards to loot weapons and items and use them against the other survivors around the table in a series of combat encounters.

Combat is resolved through a popular card game mechanic called “trick-taking.” Players must match the colour of the first card played if they can, but the choice of card affects a player’s chances of winning and how much damage they’ll deal if they win. Higher-numbered cards are more likely to win, but deal less damage, while harder-hitting cards are tougher to win with.

Survivors who can’t match the lead player’s colour can still turn the tide by countering their opponent with a counter-colour card. Playing a card that matches the number of an earlier card could also trigger an Ambush, allowing the later player to deal damage immediately without waiting for Combat to end.

Once Combat is resolved, the winner chooses another survivor to attack. However, players can defend themselves by using their scavenged gear and character abilities, adapting to each new battleground and trying to outplay and outlast their opponents.

Combat continues as survivors are eliminated one by one, until the last survivor standing emerges victorious. Survive the final circle and claim a chicken dinner!

PUBG: Final Circle was playable at SPIEL Essen 2026 in Germany from 22-25 October. The PUBG: Final Circle Kickstarter pre-launch page (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cardmon/pubg-final-circle) is now live. Click ‘Notify me on launch’ to receive an alert when the campaign begins.

Amazon Game Studios, Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog have announced that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will launch on February 12, 2027, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Nintendo Switch 2, and pre-orders are officially open. A new trailer debuted during the State of Play broadcast, giving fans a first look at new gameplay from the reimagining of the original 1996 Tomb Raider.

Legacy of Atlantis sends Lara on a globe-trotting quest to discover the lost secrets of Atlantis, with the classic story expanded by deeper connections that bridge her defining adventure to her future. The journey runs from the jungles of Peru to the crumbling ruins of Greece, the deserts of Egypt and a mysterious island shrouded in myth. Familiar puzzles return with new mechanics, players use Lara’s strength, agility and grappling hook to climb, leap and swing across deadly terrain, and the legendary battle against the T-Rex is back as a full-scale encounter. Lara fights with her signature dual pistols and other unlockable weapons against savage wildlife, mercenaries and mythological creatures.

Pre-orders on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam come in three editions. The Standard Edition, priced at £49.99, includes the game and a Survivor Outfit pre-order bonus.
