Andy Branton Releases Soulful New Single “Farthest Thing” — A Promise Set to Music
Country-blues artist Andy Branton returns with a new single that’s as raw and honest as it is soulful. Titled “Farthest Thing,” the mid-tempo ballad is a tender, sensual ode to his now-wife and a milestone in Branton’s personal and artistic journey.
“I first heard a version of this song from one of my co writers years ago,” Branton shares. “I thought it was great, but it needed some tweaks. Still, it didn’t feel right—so I let it sit. Then I met my wife, and suddenly, I felt like I could finish the song. Like I’d been waiting for her to complete the song—and me.”
Set against a sultry backdrop of blues-infused country, “Farthest Thing” is equal parts confession and vow. Branton croons:
“I’m the farthest thing from faithful, but I’ll be true to you.
I’m the farthest thing from patient, but baby I’ll wait for you.
I’m the farthest thing from good, but I’ll be good to you.”
Born in West Alabama and now based in Louisville, Kentucky, Andy Branton cut his teeth playing guitar in the barrooms and roadhouses of the Deep South. His music draws from a deep well of country storytelling and blues grit—shaped by years on Alabama highways and honed by the sweat of live performance.
His earlier single, “Time to Go,” offered a haunting reflection on leaving the South, foreshadowing Branton’s move to Kentucky. Now, with “Farthest Thing,” he turns inward—offering up a love song both intimate and timeless.

FENRA Shares New Cinematic Single “EMERALDS”
FENRA continues to expand his immersive electronic universe with “EMERALDS”, an atmospheric new single that blends granular textures, fractured percussion, and cinematic emotion into a hypnotic listening experience.
Released via Base Layer Records, the track further showcases the Portland-based producer’s ability to create music that feels less like a traditional dance release and more like a fully formed environment. Built around evolving vocal fragments, soft UK garage-inspired rhythms, and layered synth textures, “EMERALDS” unfolds slowly, pulling listeners into a spacious and emotionally charged soundscape.
Rather than chasing festival-ready drops or commercial EDM formulas, FENRA leans into subtlety and mood. The drums remain intentionally distant while shimmering textures and swirling atmospheres gradually build tension across the track’s compact runtime. By the closing moments, the production blooms into a powerful cinematic finale that feels both intimate and expansive.
Drawing influence from artists such as Four Tet, Bonobo, and Burial, FENRA occupies a space between left-field electronica and emotional downtempo music, balancing technical precision with organic warmth. That balance has already earned him support from publications including CLASH Magazine, Electronic Groove, and Magnetic Magazine following the release of his Delusional EP in 2025.
At the core of “EMERALDS” is an attention to texture and emotional atmosphere. FENRA explained that the song began with sampled chords and vocal fragments that were continuously reshaped until they became “a living texture underneath the track.” That experimental process is audible throughout the single, giving it a fluid and constantly evolving quality.
The result is a release that feels meditative yet restless, delicate yet emotionally weighty. “EMERALDS” doesn’t demand attention through volume or excess, it quietly absorbs it, rewarding listeners who are willing to disappear into its details.
