Known for his speed, strength, and attacking style, Benjamin approaches every game with determination, focus, and a deep enjoyment for playing.

What first got you interested in playing soccer?
Ever since the toddler years, kicking a ball was a nonstop game. Watching the 2022 World Cup made it all click, and the formal game of soccer and team sport became a reality for me.

How old were you when you started playing, and what do you remember about your first game?
I was six, and I remember scoring those first few goals and just the excitement of winning.

Who has been your biggest inspiration in soccer and why?
Messi and Lamine Yamal have been my biggest inspirations. Messi is just the GOAT, and seeing him win that World Cup made me believe in what is possible. Lamine Yamal inspires me because he is such a young kid playing at the highest level in the sport and makes the game look like some backyard fun.

My playing style is fast, strong, and attacking.

What’s been your favorite memory on the field so far?
We were in a tournament last year. We were down 3-1 in the second half. The team fought hard and came back to tie the game in the last minutes, just enough to qualify for the next round. Looking around at our team after that game, exhausted and worn out, I felt proud that we did it!

How do you prepare mentally and physically for a big game?
I enjoy listening to Christian music on the way into the game. It puts my mind in a peaceful place to focus. Physically, I warm up with the team during our pregame drills and just get my heart pumping.

I enjoy 1v1 drills. They are very competitive, and you get the bragging rights if you perform well.

What does a typical training week look like for you?
I have two organized team practices a week and one personal training day a week.

How do you stay motivated during tough times or after a tough loss?
Losses are never easy, but I try to move past them as quickly as possible. I know our team is very talented, so I see a loss as just a bad day. I bring intensity to the next game and focus on taking it out on the next team.
