CalledOut Music Opens the Door to “The Room,” His Most Honest Album Yet

Published

CalledOut Music released his new album “The Room” on August 21 through Integrity Music, a seven-track project the British-Nigerian artist describes in terms that leave no doubt about what it means to him. “The Room is probably the most honest representation of who I am as an artist,” he said. “It’s the sounds I grew up with, the music that shaped me, and the stories I’ve carried with me for years.”

Born Samuel Nwachukwu and raised in England after being born in Nigeria, CalledOut Music recorded the album live, with his musicians gathered in one room at Gnome Studios in Nashville. That setting shapes the record’s character: rather than a traditional worship album, “The Room” is a faith-informed collection that leans on the soul, gospel and Afrocentric sounds that formed him. Its seven songs are “Everything and More,” “What A Life,” “Have My Yes,” “Yes (Interlude),” “So Real,” “He Knows My Name” and “Your Love For Me.”

The album did not arrive cold. CalledOut Music spent 2026 building toward it with a run of Integrity singles: “My Love” in February, “Grateful Heart (Thank You Jesus)” in April, and the lead single “Everything and More” in June, which peaked at No. 2 on the UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart. Album track “So Real” has also charted, peaking at No. 7.

That steady run reflects the lane CalledOut Music has carved since his 2022 album “My Beautiful Reality”: worship that speaks to a new generation of believers, blending contemporary production with faith-filled writing and the rhythms of his heritage. “The Room” gathers those threads into one live room, and the result is the clearest statement of his artistry so far.

Dan Bremnes Completes His Trilogy With New Album “The Hero & The Villain”

Dan Bremnes opened 2026 by closing a chapter, releasing his new album “The Hero & The Villain” on January 16 through Curb Records. The 15-track record completes the British Columbia artist’s ambitious autobiographical trilogy, a three-album arc that has traced his story of faith with unusual honesty.

True to the way Bremnes has always worked, the album was recorded around the globe, from Costa Rica to Sweden, gathering its sound from the road he has travelled as one of Canadian Christian music’s most travelled artists. The opening track, “Started With You,” sets the tone for a record that wrestles openly with faith, anxiety, identity and vulnerability, the inner conflict promised by its title: the hero and the villain who share the same heart.

Bremnes, who hails from the Salmon Arm and Kamloops region of British Columbia, first broke through with “Where The Light Is,” which won the Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year in 2016. In the decade since, he has built a reputation for pairing polished pop songwriting with lyrics that refuse to tidy up the hard parts of believing.

That tension is the engine of “The Hero & The Villain.” Rather than resolving the struggle into a slogan, the album sits inside it, tracing how grace meets a person who can be faithful and faltering in the same day. As the final instalment of his trilogy, it brings Bremnes’ most personal songwriting project to its conclusion, and underlines his standing as one of the defining Canadian voices in contemporary Christian music.
