Success at the Cannes Film Festival for the world premiere of ‘The Race of Love’

The film, which was very well received by those present, is produced by Enrico Pinocci (Movie on Pictures) and directed by Alfio D’Agata. The cast includes Ciara Hanna (‘Stars Fell Again’, ‘Stars Fell on Alabama’, ‘Power Rangers Megaforce’), Thomas Gipson (‘Love’s Fast Lane’, ‘Burning Lies’), Blanca Blanco (‘Eye for Eye’, ‘Betrayed’), Letizia Pinocci (‘Mission Possible’, ‘6 Children & 1 Grandfather’) and Harmony McElligot (‘You Can Do Better’, ‘Life Whack’).

The guests enjoyed a spectacular sports romance film, thanks to the performance of the single-seater prototype cars designed solely for speed races on the circuits.

The red carpet featured Thomas Gipson, Blanca Blanco, Letizia Pinocci and French actress Magali Lerbey. Also in attendance were Italian actor Enrico Mutti, fashion designer Jenny Monteiro, editor of the WOW Fashion Magazine Alessandra Luti and Business Development Manager of the Bawer Company Martina Lorusso. Following the premiere, guests were invited to a celebratory party.

The Story

Phil, single by choice, is one of the protagonists of the film. The other is Jenny, whose demanding work and hectic life make her relationships difficult and complicated. After a series of coincidences that bring them together, due to various twists and turns, their hearts soon start to warm to each other.

The film is set in the world of motor racing, and thanks to an agreement with Sergio Peroni of PNK Motorsport, the Vallelunga Autodromo was used for the final scenes. The other locations of the film were Los Angeles, Rio De Janeiro, London and Monaco.

Upcoming films from Movie On Pictures are: ‘The Strength of Love’ (romance) currently in production, ‘Against Time’ (action crime thriller), ‘The New Joker’ (action crime thriller), ‘All I Need For a Kiss’ (romance), ‘The Dog of Christmas’ (romance) and ‘Falling in Love in Venice’ (romance).

Joseph Nybyk (AKA Joseph Neibich) : The Creative Who Refuses to Stay in One Lane

Published

on

There are plenty of people in Hollywood who talk about wearing multiple hats. Joseph Nybyk actually earns every one of them.

An award-winning writer, actor, director, and stand-up comedian, Nybyk’s career moves fluidly between creativity and commerce—between the stage, the set, and the strategy room. It’s a balance that didn’t happen by accident. Originally from Tucson, Arizona, he relocated to Los Angeles in 1997 and entered the industry through marketing at Paramount Pictures, before stepping into a creative executive role at Landmark Entertainment. There, he worked in the orbit of James Cameron and Michael Jackson, gaining a rare inside-out education on how stories are not just made—but positioned and sold.

That business fluency became a quiet superpower once performance called louder.

Nybyk left the corporate path after landing a role in Jerry Maguire, launching an acting career that would span more than fifty national commercials along with film and television appearances. But acting was only one lane. As a filmmaker, he has written, directed, and starred in numerous shorts, web series, and independent features that have screened at festivals around the world. His work has earned awards for Best Film, Best Short, Best Screenplay, and Best Director, along with Best Supporting Actor for the provocative short The Day the Rabbit Died.

His faith-based short Feeling Blessed was selected by virtually every major faith film festival and screened at two Academy Award-qualifying events. He followed it immediately with a tonal left turn—Lights Off, a horror short that landed in ten of the most prestigious horror festivals globally. That range isn’t accidental. Nybyk has always been comfortable moving between genres, audiences, and emotional registers.

His indie feature debut, Ocean Front Property, which he wrote, directed, and starred in, marked a major milestone—and set the tone for what followed. Since then, he’s continued developing and financing original projects while optioning scripts to multiple producers, staying deeply involved in both the creative and financial architecture of filmmaking.

Parallel to all of this runs his stand-up career. A veteran of the comedy circuit, Nybyk’s material blends sharp observation with personal storytelling—often pulling from his years bartending at the legendary Polo Lounge inside the Beverly Hills Hotel. His comedy has taken him to clubs, colleges, theaters, and casinos nationwide, and in 2025 he was named Best Comedian by Tucson Weekly.

Offstage, Nybyk is also the founder of the Faith in Film International Film Festival, created to champion meaningful, faith-driven storytelling in an industry that often overlooks it. He holds a Master’s degree in Film from the New York Film Academy and is a proud alumnus of the University of Arizona.

Today, Nybyk continues to balance performing, filmmaking, comedy, and development from his home base in Arizona and California. He’s proof that you don’t have to choose between art and business—and that the most interesting careers are often built in the space where those worlds collide.
