Cavs’ Stunning Trade: Is there life after the Kyrie Trade
ESPN reported that Irving no longer wanted to play alongside LeBron James, the four-time MVP and arguably one of the three best players in NBA history. Windhorst indicated that Irving was looking for an opportunity to be a focal point for an offense.
Fast forward a several weeks later and the trade happened!!
Tuesday’s trade gave us the biggest shellshock of all: After weeks of rumors and reports, the Cavaliers shipped Kyrie Irving to the Celtics for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and Brooklyn’s 2018 first-round pick. It was a trade that will undoubtedly take the Cavs-Celtics rivalry to new heights and likely send ripple effects around the NBA as a whole.
Most are not convinced that this trade will keep Lebron at the CAVS, if he does leave after the summer it would had been in the works for quite some time. With the new season approaching many fans are anticipating when the CAVS and the Celtics will come head to head.
