Dru Hill’s “Christmas In Baltimore” EP Available Now

 Multi-platinum recording group, Dru Hill, is proud to announce the upcoming release of their first full Christmas EP, Christmas in Baltimore!
The 8-track project was produced by Grammy award-winning writer/producer Troy Taylor of Songbook Entertainment on their signature label, Dru Hill Entertainment, and is being distributed by Empire Distribution.
Highly anticipated, Christmas in Baltimore marks Dru Hill’s fifth studio project and its first with Empire. It precedes another brand new studio album to be released in 2018. For the EP, Taylor and the super-soulful vocalists of Dru Hill have come together to give fans Christmas like they’ve never heard it before! From the classic “Silent Night” to the modern and slightly explicit “Tis the Season,” it’s literally an album you’ll have to download to believe.
“We’ve always wanted to do a Christmas album, and we knew our fans have been waiting,” says the group, “This year, it just all came together and we decided to invite everybody in for that authentic Baltimore holiday experience…you won’t find another Christmas album like this, we guarantee it.”
A snippet of its first radio single, “Favorite Time of the Year” was released on the group’s official Instagram page on November 10thto rave reviews. Fans have been waiting eagerly since the teaser and were finally able to bring the long awaited music home with their November 24th release.
Comprised of members Tamir “Nokio” Ruffin, Mark “SisQo” Andrews, Larry “Jazz” Anthony, and Antwuan “Tao” Simpson, Dru Hill first rose to fame in 1996 with their debut single, “Tell Me” and they only add to their legendary music library with Christmas in Baltimore after boasting some of the biggest selling R&B songs of all time, including “5 steps”, “In My Bed”, “Never Make a Promise”, “How Deep Is Your Love”, “These are the Times”, and “We’re Not Making Love No More”. In a career that has spanned two decades, they have sold over 40 million records worldwide.
As they gear up to celebrate Christmas with their fans, they also have more exciting surprises in store for 2018!! A new album is on the horizon.

New 22-minute documentary short follows Micky Angelo Petrillo after transitioning at 59, with the acclaimed POSE star helping bring his story to the screen

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — NEW YORK: The official trailer for CALL ME MICKY, a new documentary short Executive Produced by acclaimed POSE star Dominique Jackson and directed by Andrew Rasmussen, has been released on YouTube ahead of the film’s upcoming festival run.

The 22-minute documentary follows Micky Angelo Petrillo, a larger-than-life New Jersey native who transitioned at 59 and is now discovering what comes next.

Rather than presenting transition as the conclusion of Petrillo’s story, CALL ME MICKY focuses on the life unfolding afterward — through Pride celebrations, open mics, friendships, storytelling and Petrillo’s increasingly public embrace of the man he fought decades to become.

Jackson also appears in the film, joining Petrillo for an intimate on-camera conversation about identity, visibility and what it means to finally live openly as yourself.

Internationally recognized for her commanding portrayal of Elektra on FX’s groundbreaking series POSE, Jackson is an actress, model, activist and producer who also served as an Executive Producer of the acclaimed documentary I’M YOUR VENUS, which premiered at the Tribeca Festival.

Petrillo is the author of the memoir Walking the Earth: First as a Woman, Then a Man.

While CALL ME MICKY captures one chapter of Petrillo’s much larger story, the film offers an intimate portrait of a man discovering that becoming yourself is not the ending — it may only be the beginning.

CALL ME MICKY is produced by CARDINAL, a New York City–based creative production company, and directed by CARDINAL co-founder Andrew Rasmussen.

The film begins its festival run this fall, with additional screenings and festival announcements forthcoming.
