ELFI IS BACK AND SHE’S SERVING HEARTBREAK WITH A SIDE OF HELL YES

Okay, picture this: you walk into a restaurant you swore you were done with, your ex’s ghost does a dramatic entrance in your mind, and suddenly you realise…
“Wait. I literally dodged a missile.”
That’s the exact lightning-bolt moment behind Elfi’s brand-new single “be careful what you wish for”. And instead of crying about it, she turned it into a sparkly, shout-it-from-the-rooftops banger you can dance yourself clean to.
This song is for:
✨ Anyone who once begged the universe for someone who turned out… not great
✨ Anyone whose rose-coloured glasses finally shattered (thank GOD)
✨ Anyone ready to dance their way out of a questionable decisions era
Born in the Netherlands, living in London, and thriving everywhere in between, Elfi takes that “oops-I-wanted-the-wrong-person” feeling and transforms it into full-blown pop catharsis. The track comes straight from her upcoming EP 11.11 — a project crafted between Los Angeles, London, and Amsterdam and sprinkled with magic at London’s iconic Metropolis Studios.
She finished this song in LA with her ride-or-die producer John McLucas, who helped turn the moment of clarity into a technicolour, hands-in-the-air “thank you universe for the plot twist” anthem.
And if you’ve ever been to an Elfi show, you know she doesn’t just perform — she converts entire rooms into glittering ecosystems of shared feelings, loud singing, and chaotic joy. From sold-out London shows to Amsterdam highs, she brings that same energy straight into this track.
“be careful what you wish for” isn’t just a breakup song.
It’s your new favourite victory lap.
It’s closure with confetti.
It’s moving on… but make it gorgeous.

Dysmusia Keeps “In your eyes” Honest, Warm And Straight To The Point
It is easy to see why a songwriter might be drawn to a story like this. Relationships rarely finish as neatly as people would like, and the space between “it is over” and “maybe we should try again” can produce plenty of material. For Dysmusia, that space becomes the setting for latest single “In your eyes”, out now through Now Listen.
The Irish singer-songwriter has a knack for keeping his writing close to everyday life, and this track benefits from that approach. He looks at an old relationship that has already gone through several attempts at making things work, then focuses on what happens when those feelings start creeping back in.
What makes the song appealing is the balance between sincerity and a lighter touch. Dysmusia is clearly invested in the situation, but he does not turn every moment into a grand declaration. There is room for a bit of humour and hesitation along the way, which keeps the song feeling natural.
The arrangement gives the song a pleasing lift. Acoustic guitar sits at the heart of it, with the dropped tuning adding some richness and a second guitar bringing extra colour. The result has folk at its core but carries enough indie-rock influence to give it a little extra punch.
Dysmusia’s Irish background is another part of the picture. Based between Antrim and Dublin and coming from a musical family, he has developed a style that puts storytelling alongside contemporary guitar sounds.
“In your eyes” brings those influences together without making a fuss about them. It is a personable, melodic track about feelings that refuse to follow a neat timetable, delivered with enough warmth to make the story easy to get behind.
