Jake Exavier ‘Voodoo’: A Spellbinding Return to R&B Roots

Published

on

Jake Exavier has done it again with his latest single, ‘Voodoo’. This rising R&B star invites listeners into an enchanting soundscape where smooth vocals meet haunting melodies. With his signature old-school flair and urban finesse, Jake has crafted a track that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. It’s a love song, yes, but one steeped in the mystique of Louisiana, making it a standout addition to his growing discography.

Born and raised in Zachary, Louisiana, Jake’s upbringing clearly plays a significant role in his artistry. His music is a tribute to his roots, drawing on the soulful legacy of R&B legends like Usher and Stevie Wonder. But it’s not just his influences that shine through—it’s his own authenticity and charisma. ‘Voodoo’ reflects Jake’s ability to bridge the past and present, and it’s a connection listeners will feel in every note.

The track’s concept is as captivating as its execution. “Love can make you do crazy things,” Jake shares, explaining how ‘Voodoo’ intertwines the theme of passion with the rich cultural heritage of Louisiana. The hypnotic beat sets the stage for his smooth vocals to take center stage, weaving a tale of love’s intoxicating spell. It’s an ode to the magic of love, rooted in his home state’s cultural identity.

What makes ‘Voodoo’ so addictive is its perfect balance of sultry vibes and catchy hooks. Jake’s delivery feels effortless, drawing you in with each verse. The production complements his voice, layering lush harmonies over a laid-back groove that’s impossible not to vibe with. It’s the kind of song that’ll have you hitting repeat without even realizing it.

Jake Exavier proves once again why he’s a force to watch in the R&B world. ‘Voodoo’ showcases his evolution as an artist while staying true to the heart of his sound. If this track is any indication, Jake’s journey is just getting started—and we’re all under his spell.

Miami, FL Lyricist & Veteran MC Kingdom Kome goes to Colombia to fill his sweet tooth in a new double video and single(s) drop for “Mantecon” and “Arepa Mantecon.”  The video (was filmed by Franco Imagemaker and Edited by David Sakolsky of Gusto Gold Productions)was shot on location in Medellin, which is also the home turf of producer The Equation Beats.

This is the first drop from the forthcoming full-length collaboration between the two entitled Arepa Y Manteca.  Named for a traditional Colombian delicacy, according to Argentinian born Kingdom Kome “we decided to keep the project real paisa, which means countryman.  This includes most of the album collaborators Colombian RawAjaxLo & CTraffik.”

Other album guests will include Che Uno, Sunez Allah and ParaNoize and the result is ominous instrumentals and grimy beats clashing with disrespectful lyrics in two languages.

Watch the official video for “Mantecon/Arepa Mantecon” here:

The genesis of this album grew out of a track that The Equation Beats produced for the duo project of Kingdom Kome & Che Uno known as Los Chicos Criollos featuring Crimeapple.

Based on the strength of that song, Kingdom Kome and The Equation Beats kept it moving and lo and behold Arepa Y Manteca is on the way!  In addition to the recent full-length drop D10S Sucio of Los Chicos Criollos, Kingdom Kome is also promoting Dirty Linens, a fully collaborative project with Brockton, MA’s G Fam Black.
