Ten years after Around the World and Back turned State Champs into pop punk headliners, the Albany band is taking the record back out on the road, and on Friday, November 27 the anniversary tour lands at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville with a stacked bill behind it.

State Champs play Starland Ballroom on Friday, November 27, as part of the Around the World and Back Again tour, a 24 date North American run through November and December 2026. Special guests Cartel, Taylor Acorn and Pinkshift share the Sayreville bill.

The tour celebrates ten years of Around the World and Back, the band’s 2015 sophomore album, which reached number 3 on the Billboard Rock chart on the strength of songs like Secrets, Losing Myself and All You Are Is History. Anniversary tours live or die on whether the old songs still hit, and this record was built for rooms full of people shouting every word back.

State Champs formed in Albany, New York in 2010 and have released five full length albums, most recently their self titled album State Champs, released November 8, 2024 on Pure Noise Records. The anniversary run pairs the full weight of that catalog with a record that still defines the band for a generation of pop punk fans.

Starland Ballroom sits close to home for a band with deep Northeast roots, and a Friday night anniversary show with four bands on the bill is the kind of date that tends to sell the room on energy alone.
