Draymond’s New Track “iceberb” Is Built for the After-Hours

Published

on

There’s something beautifully unpolished about Draymond’s “iceberb”. Out now, the hazy new cut lives somewhere between Atlanta rap, SoundCloud-era chaos and the sweaty, late-night energy of an underground club.

Moving between Los Angeles and Tokyo, Draymond has been carving out a sound that feels distinctly internet-age: fragmented, instinctive and deliberately hard to pin down. “iceberb” is a perfect snapshot of that world. Think stripped-back production, layered vocals and an Atlanta-leaning atmosphere that gives the whole thing the feeling of stumbling across something you weren’t supposed to hear yet.

The track came together during an absurdly productive month with collaborator Scarsbleedpurple, who was living on Draymond’s couch while the pair made music around the clock. More than 100 songs emerged from the sessions, but “iceberb” had something special. Scarsbleedpurple’s verse was freestyled, adding to the record’s loose, spontaneous feel.

Built around YouTube beats and vocals, “iceberb” doesn’t overthink things. It leaves space for the performance to do the heavy liftingand that’s exactly where its charm lies. It’s intimate, raw and club-ready without ever sounding overly polished.

For fans of the hazy, genre-blurring world around Tezzus, Don Toliver, Thouxanbanfauni, Yung Fazo, midwxst and SoFaygo, Draymond is one to keep an eye on.

“iceberb” is out now. Press play, turn it up, and let the night get a little blurry.
