LINDSAY ELL FINDS HER “SWEET SPOT” WITH NEW SINGLE

Published

on

Just Announced as Direct Support for Darius Rucker at Southern Fried Circuit Charity Event and Appalachian Summer Festival & for Maren Morris at Iowa State Fair

Lindsay Ell is back with “Sweet Spot” – her first single of 2023. The song comes as Ell returned this week to host Canada’s Got Talent, Citytv’s most-viewed original series in over a decade. It also follows Ell’s recent performances in the UK and EU with the Zac Brown Band for C2C: Country to Country – Europe’s biggest country music festival – and just ahead of her joining Shania Twain as her Special Guest on her North American Queen of Me Tour. Confidently pushing her into her next chapter of music, “Sweet Spot” delivers an upbeat reminder that the rollercoaster of life eventually leads everyone to exactly where they need to be — their very own sweet spot.

“Growing up, I learned how to ‘ride the wave’ of life most successfully by floating in the middle of the highs and lows but now I think that both pain and success give us beautiful perspectives on how to learn from our experiences and be grateful for what we have,” said Ell. “The sweet spot is something you can only find when you’ve been on both sides of it and that wouldn’t be possible without the constant ping-pong of life. I hope this song brings some levity — and a little dance party — to those currently making their way through these unpredictable highs and lows.”

Available everywhere today, “Sweet Spot” marks the beginning of a new chapter for Ell. Kicking off 2023 with a Canadian Screen Award nomination for her work on Season One of Canada’s Got Talent (Best Host or Presenter, Factual or Reality/Competition) and the massive C2C shows in Glasgow, Dublin and London, the three-time CCMA Award-winning artist is looking forward to joining the Queen of country music, Shania Twain, next month. Ravi.O The Assessini and Jiwon Dive Deep with New Cross-Cultural Ballad “Abyss of Love”

Published

on

Cue the tissues and turn up the volume—Ravi.O The Assessini and Jiwon have just released “Abyss of Love,” a genre-blending, heartstring-tugging track that might just be your next favorite cry-anthem. What started as a chance interview on SBS MegaTV’s Que Lunes turned into a powerful creative spark, uniting a former Latin pop heartthrob and a K-pop idol in transition.

Ravi.O, known for his roots in Universal Music Latin and collaborations with legends like Nicky Jam, has long danced between cultures. Born to Italian and Puerto Rican parents and now living out his K-entertainment dreams as a TV host, Ravi.O continues his mission of musical diplomacy—this time, through pain, passion, and partnership.

With a broken heart and no answers, I recorded this with tears running down my face”, Ravi.O admits about the track.

Enter: Jiwon, ex-member of K-pop girl group Botopass. After stepping away from the idol spotlight, she wasn’t planning a comeback—until Ravi.O showed up.

The result is a raw, emotional ballad that melds Latin pop drama with Korean melodic depth. Think: NSYNC meets Dreamcatcher in a Seoul café at midnight.

This is the first time I wrote both the lyrics and the melody myself”, says Jiwon. “It’s my first real release as me, not as part of a group. I’m so thankful to Ravi for encouraging me to take this step.”

“Abyss of Love” is a cultural handshake, a vulnerable diary entry, and a bridge between genres that rarely get to cry together. With sweeping strings, bilingual lyrics, and harmonies that hit like a wave, it’s a journey through heartbreak with no passport required.
