American fashion handed out its highest honours on Monday, November 2, as the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards named Rachel Scott and Ralph Lauren its designers of the year. The ceremony, presented by Amazon Fashion and hosted by Keke Palmer, took place at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

Rachel Scott won American Womenswear Designer of the Year for her label Diotima, receiving the award from Lupita Nyong’o and Francisco Costa. It is Scott’s second win in the category, following her 2024 victory, and it caps a period that has also seen her take on one of American fashion’s biggest creative roles at Proenza Schouler.

Ralph Lauren was named American Menswear Designer of the Year, presented by Matt Damon and Tremaine Emory, and received a standing ovation. The win gives Lauren a top designer prize for the second year in a row, after he took the womenswear award in 2025, a distinction that underlines a career approaching sixty years at the head of American style.

In accessories, fine jeweller Ana Khouri earned her first American Accessory Designer of the Year award, presented by Naomi Osaka and Joseph Altuzarra. The Google American Emerging Designer of the Year award went to Brooklyn based designer Colleen Allen, presented by Cole Escola and Gabriela Hearst.

The night’s honorees spanned the industry. Anthony Vaccarello received International Designer of the Year for his work at Saint Laurent. Anna Wintour presented Tory Burch with the Positive Change Award, honouring the foundation she established in 2009 to help women entrepreneurs access capital, education and mentorship. Architect Peter Marino received the Fashion Icon Award, photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin took the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, Bergdorf Goodman fashion director Linda Fargo received the Founder’s Award, Instagram fashion executive Eva Chen took the Media Award, designer Susan Cianciolo received the Isabel Toledo Board of Directors’ Tribute, and Gap Inc. collected the Innovation Award presented by Amazon Fashion.

Kaia Gerber Stars Alongside Dev Hynes in the JW Anderson and UGG Campaign

Kaia Gerber is the face of the new JW Anderson and UGG collaboration, starring in the campaign for the collection alongside musician Dev Hynes. The British fashion house unveiled the imagery this week, and the collection is on sale now in stores and through the JW Anderson webstore.

Photographers Tanya and Zhenya Posternak shot the campaign as a series of intimate domestic vignettes. Gerber and Hynes are pictured across everyday home settings, in visuals built around the boundary between everyday ease and considered dressing, the same meeting point the collection itself is designed to occupy. The imagery explores domestic rituals and everyday dressing, and it reads less like a conventional product advertisement than a study of how the clothes sit inside a real home. The casting pairs one of fashion’s most in demand models with a musician known for crossing between music, art and fashion projects, a combination the house describes through the work itself: two creative figures photographed the way they might actually live in the clothes.

Gerber’s presence gives the collaboration its headline. A runway and campaign regular for the biggest houses in the business, she has become one of the defining models of her generation, and her name on the campaign places the UGG collaboration firmly in luxury fashion territory rather than the footwear aisle alone.

The collection brings JW Anderson’s design language to UGG’s footwear and comfort led staples, translating both brands into a single wardrobe of pieces made to be lived in. The campaign’s domestic setting is the concept made visible: considered design photographed in the middle of ordinary daily rituals, rather than on a runway or in a studio.

The JW Anderson and UGG collection is available now, both in physical stores and online. For Gerber, the campaign is the latest in a steady line of top tier bookings, and for both brands it is a collaboration pitched at the overlap of comfort dressing and high fashion.
