Ruoning Yin Wins Buick LPGA Shanghai With a Final-Round 68 for Her Seventh LPGA Title
Ruoning Yin birdied the 16th hole in the final round to break out of a back-nine tie and win the Buick LPGA Shanghai by one stroke on Sunday at Sheshan Golf Club.
China’s Yin closed with a 68 to finish at 11-under 277, one shot ahead of third-round leader Hye-Jin Choi of South Korea. Amy Yang finished alone in third at 8-under 280. Yin earned $480,000 from the $3.2 million purse.
It is the seventh LPGA Tour victory of Yin’s career and her second of the 2026 season. She also won this event in 2024, and the win earns her 500 points in the Race to the CME Globe, the season-long points race that decides the field for the CME Group Tour Championship.
The tournament opened the LPGA’s four-event fall Asian swing and drew 11 of the top 25 players in the world to a venue that has hosted 14 editions of the WGC-HSBC Champions. Fifteen players from the China Golf Association rounded out the 81-player field.
The tour now heads to South Korea for the BMW Ladies Championship, followed by stops in Malaysia and Japan before returning to Florida in mid-November for the final two events of the season.

Blades Brown Becomes Youngest Golfer Ever to Earn PGA Tour Status Through the Korn Ferry Tour
Blades Brown keeps making history before he can legally buy a drink.
The teenager finished alone in second at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship at The Federal Club in Virginia, closing with a 2-under 69 to climb to ninth in the season-long points standings — and with that, he became the youngest golfer ever to earn PGA Tour status through the Korn Ferry Tour.
Brown began the finale already inside the top 20 who earn 2027 PGA Tour cards, so his week was about positioning rather than survival. He delivered anyway, finishing runner-up to Austin Hitt in the season finale of the PGA Tour’s developmental circuit.
He is part of a 20-man graduating class headlined by Hitt and points champion Ross Steelman. The Korn Ferry Tour has long been the proving ground where future major winners earn their stripes, and Brown now carries that ‘youngest ever’ label into his rookie season on the big tour in 2027.
