Gina Kim’s Long Road Back: From the Epson Tour to Her First LPGA Title

Published

Gina Kim rebuilt her career on the Epson Tour and won her first LPGA title in 2026.

Gina Kim’s road back to the LPGA Tour has become one of the best comeback stories in women’s golf.

Kim fought her way back through the developmental Epson Tour, winning three times there in 2025 to regain her LPGA card. This June, the work paid off with her first LPGA Tour title. At the Buick LPGA Shanghai in October, she showed her game is still trending up, opening with a bogey-free 3-under 69 built on 11 of 14 fairways, 13 of 18 greens and just 28 putts.

Kim cooled over the weekend and finished tied for 26th at 3-over 291, but the early-round form was another marker of how far she has come since rebuilding her career on the Epson Tour.

Her next ambition is a personal one: the chance to compete in South Korea, with family in the gallery watching her play.

Blades Brown keeps making history before he can legally buy a drink.

The teenager finished alone in second at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship at The Federal Club in Virginia, closing with a 2-under 69 to climb to ninth in the season-long points standings — and with that, he became the youngest golfer ever to earn PGA Tour status through the Korn Ferry Tour.

Brown began the finale already inside the top 20 who earn 2027 PGA Tour cards, so his week was about positioning rather than survival. He delivered anyway, finishing runner-up to Austin Hitt in the season finale of the PGA Tour’s developmental circuit.

He is part of a 20-man graduating class headlined by Hitt and points champion Ross Steelman. The Korn Ferry Tour has long been the proving ground where future major winners earn their stripes, and Brown now carries that ‘youngest ever’ label into his rookie season on the big tour in 2027.
