Alec Benjamin Returns With New Single “Follow Me” and Official Lyric Video

Published

Alec Benjamin has returned with “Follow Me,” his new single released October 9 via Atlantic Records and joined by an official lyric video. The multiplatinum singer-songwriter delivers the track with bright acoustic guitar and the earnest, conversational vocals that have become his signature, building a song that feels bittersweet and hauntingly energetic at the same time.

Benjamin describes “Follow Me” as the story of someone who is lost in the dark and starts hearing a voice telling them which way to go. They do not know where the voice is coming from, or even if it is real, but something inside tells them they have to trust it, even when that means walking straight through the fire. On the surface it is a simple story, he says, but underneath it is about surrender, letting go, and trusting that something greater can lead you through the darkness when you cannot find your own way out.

The single marks Benjamin’s first new music since last year’s “Pretending,” a longtime fan favorite he first shared as a demo more than eight years ago. “Pretending” followed another long-requested song, “The Knife in My Back,” and both arrived in the wake of his acclaimed third studio album, 12 Notes, and its deluxe edition, 16 Notes, which included “Found You First,” “Pick Me,” “I Sent My Therapist to Therapy,” and “Different Kind of Beautiful.”

That run sits on top of a remarkable career. Benjamin has amassed over 21.8 billion worldwide streams and more than 18.3 million followers across social media. The Phoenix-born, Los Angeles-based songwriter broke through with his Platinum-certified debut mixtape Narrated For You, highlighted by the 5x Platinum smash “Let Me Down Slowly,” and followed it with These Two Windows in 2020 and (Un)Commentary in 2022. TIME has praised him as “a pop storyteller for the next generation,” noting his ability to turn complex, personal turning points into verses that are sweet and cutting.

Benjamin has also built his reputation on stage, through sold-out headline world tours, festival performances at Coachella and Lollapalooza, and appearances on major late-night and daytime television shows. “Follow Me” is presented as just the first taste of what is next from him, with more new music on the way — and for fans who have waited for this chapter, the new single is a strong place to start.

Maisie Peters Lends ‘Hands On Me’ to the ‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 3 Soundtrack

Maisie Peters has added a new song to one of television’s most talked-about soundtracks. Her track “Hands On Me” appears on the official soundtrack for Season 3 of Netflix’s romantic comedy Nobody Wants This, released by Atlantic Records on October 23, 2026 — one day after the new season began streaming globally.

The 17-track compilation is built entirely from all-new, previously unreleased recordings made for the show, and Peters finds herself in heavyweight company. The soundtrack also features Miley Cyrus, Ellie Goulding, J Balvin, Metric and Ravyn Lenae, along with an original score suite from composer Duncan Blickenstaff. Peters’ song sits fifth in the running order, placing the British singer-songwriter near the top of one of the fall’s highest-profile soundtrack releases.

The placement continues a big year for Peters. In May she released her third studio album, Florescence, on Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records — a record previewed by singles including “You You You,” “Audrey Hepburn,” “Say My Name in Your Sleep” and “Kingmaker,” her collaboration with Julia Michaels. One week before the album arrived, she announced the biggest headline show of her career: The O2 Arena in London on May 8, 2027.

Her live stock keeps rising on both sides of the Atlantic. In June 2026, Peters made her debut on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville — a notable room for a folk-pop diarist from West Sussex — and over the summer she released a run of live performances from the Florescence material under the subtitle “Live From My Parents’ Piano.” Peters came up as a self-described massive Taylor Swift fan, and her sharp, novelistic songwriting has built her one of the most loyal young audiences in British pop.

With “Hands On Me” now streaming as part of the Nobody Wants This Season 3 soundtrack, Peters closes out October with her voice attached to a global Netflix hit — and an O2 Arena headline date waiting on the calendar for next spring.
