Cameron Whitcomb Debuts “Set Me Free” Live at The Wiltern and Earns Gold Plaques for “Quitter” and “Medusa”

Canadian country-folk singer-songwriter Cameron Whitcomb has added a new single to a landmark month. His song “Set Me Free” was released on October 23, 2026, as part of Nobody Wants This: Season 3 (Soundtrack from the Netflix Series), the Atlantic Records companion to the third season of the Netflix romantic comedy. Whitcomb’s track sits alongside new recordings from artists including Miley Cyrus, Megan Moroney, Jessie Murph and Ellie Goulding, and the soundtrack arrived one day after the new season began streaming globally on Netflix.

Fans in Los Angeles heard the song before anyone else. Whitcomb gave “Set Me Free” its live debut on October 20, 2026, during his sold-out show at The Wiltern, a stop on his Kingdom of Fear Tour, three days ahead of its official release. The performance placed the brand-new song inside a set built around the material that has carried his rise, and showed how naturally a soundtrack recording fits his live show and his direct, unvarnished songwriting.

The Wiltern night brought a second celebration backstage. After the performance, Atlantic Outpost and The Core Entertainment surprised Whitcomb with a plaque presentation honoring the Gold certifications for his hit singles “Quitter” and “Medusa.” The two songs anchor the catalogue behind his breakthrough, from his 2024 debut EP Quitter through his debut album The Hard Way, which received a Complete Edition in 2026.

“Set Me Free” was written by Whitcomb with Daniel Silberstein and Ryan Linvill, and produced by Linvill, with the release issued under Whitcomb’s exclusive license to Atlantic Recording Corporation. The single reaches an audience already listening at serious scale, with recent coverage citing about 10.9 million monthly listeners before the soundtrack even landed.

Whitcomb remains on the road with the Kingdom of Fear Tour, with House of Blues dates ahead in Dallas on October 30 and Houston on October 31. Between a Netflix soundtrack placement, a live debut in Los Angeles and Gold plaques for the songs that started it all, October 2026 stands as the month his country-folk run reached a new level.

Megan Moroney Steps Into Fiction With ‘Say When’ for ‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 3

Megan Moroney has a new song out, and for once the story in it is not her own. The Columbia Nashville / Sony Music Nashville artist released “Say When” on October 23, a song she wrote for the Season 3 soundtrack to Netflix’s Nobody Wants This. The track leans into the charged space between friendship and romance, pairing guitar-driven instrumentation with a bright melody and a playful pulse as two friends consider crossing that line.

Moroney wrote “Say When” with Jessie Jo Dillon and Luke Laird, who also produced the track. “I loved getting to write ‘Say When’ for Nobody Wants This,” she shared in a statement. “When I first saw the scene, I knew I wanted to write it with Jessie Jo Dillon and Luke Laird. It’s always fun to challenge myself to write about something fictional rather than my own life.” The full Season 3 soundtrack is out now, and the new season is streaming on Netflix.

The soundtrack song caps a huge year built around Moroney’s third studio album, Cloud 9, released February 20 via Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records. The 15-track project includes “6 Months Later,” “Beautiful Things,” “Wish I Didn’t,” “Wedding Dress” and “Who Hurt You?” Her Cloud 9 Tour became her first arena headlining run, selling more than 450,000 tickets in the United States before the world tour wrapped October 1 in Belfast.

Moroney is not letting the year end quietly. She has announced two album-celebration shows at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, honoring the records that came before Cloud 9. Lucky Night on December 5 revisits her 2023 debut, with fans encouraged to wear green for songs like “Tennessee Orange” and “I’m Not Pretty.” Am I Okay? Night follows on December 6 in blue, built around her 2024 sophomore album and songs including “Mama I Lied” and “Noah.” Artist presale for the two-night special began October 7, ahead of the October 9 general sale.

Demand for those throwback nights has already pushed the run further, with December 7 and 8 dates added at the same arena after the first two shows sold out. It is a fitting finish to 2026 for Moroney: a brand-new soundtrack song on release week, and a live celebration that traces the road from Lucky and Am I Okay? to Cloud 9, one album at a time.
