GAYLE Finally Delivers Her Debut Album With ‘Observing Chaos’
Most artists who score a hit as big as “abcdefu” rush a debut album out the door while the moment is hot. GAYLE did the opposite. The Nashville-based singer-songwriter waited, toured the world as one of pop’s most in-demand openers, and on September 18, 2026, she finally released her first full-length album, Observing Chaos, via Atlantic Records — a 13-track record that documents, in her own framing, the emotional highs and lows of ages 17 through 21.
The patience was deliberate. Speaking to The Tennessean ahead of the release, GAYLE explained that at 17 she did not feel ready to make her debut album, even as “abcdefu” was turning her into a phenomenon. The song, written after she had been posting singing videos from her bedroom, reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, earned a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year, and has since been certified four times platinum by the RIAA. Rather than force an album around it, she spent the intervening years developing her sound and her story.
In the meantime, her résumé quietly became enormous. She opened selected dates on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, toured with P!nk, My Chemical Romance, Tate McRae, Cyndi Lauper and AJR, contributed to the Barbie soundtrack, and wrote songs for other artists including Kelly Clarkson. Those years on the road, followed by a step back at home in Nashville — where she recorded at South x Sea Studios — shaped the album she eventually made: an angsty, jagged coming-of-age time capsule rather than a victory lap.
The singles previewed that range. “junebug!,” her first new music in two years, is a celebration of June — a month packed with family birthdays, her own included, and Pride Month. “Loving You Is” turns inward, a piano ballad about recognizing how you deserve to be treated. “bite the bullet” splits the difference, pairing upbeat pop energy with punk and rock influences. Now 22, GAYLE has said the record explores relationships, trust, heartbreak, self-discovery and unpredictability of young adulthood.
Observing Chaos is available now on Atlantic Records. After five years of being introduced as the voice behind one massive song, GAYLE finally gets to be introduced by a whole album — and it sounds like one made entirely on her own schedule.

Alex Warren Adds His Biggest Manchester Show Yet and a New Year’s Eve Residency in Las Vegas
Alex Warren’s calendar keeps getting bigger. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has announced he will headline Manchester’s Heaton Park on Friday, July 2, 2027 — his biggest show in the city to date — while back home he will close out 2026 with a two-night New Year’s engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on December 30 and 31.
The Heaton Park date, announced on October 23, lands in the middle of his Finding More Family On The Road tour of the UK and Europe next summer, joining new stops at Blenheim Palace Festival in Oxfordshire on June 27 and Figueira da Foz in Portugal on July 18. The run opens in Cardiff on June 20 and includes Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow and Exeter before two nights at London’s Crystal Palace Park on July 3 and 4. Warren has partnered with PLUS1 so that £1/€1 from every ticket goes to local organizations supporting children and their health, specifically children’s hospitals in the communities where he performs. Tickets for the new dates go on general sale Friday, October 30.
Before any of that, Las Vegas gets the year’s final word. The Colosseum stand — reported widely this week — puts Warren in one of the most prestigious rooms in American live music for New Year’s Eve, the kind of booking usually reserved for legacy superstars. It caps a year in which his Finding Family on the Road tour expanded across North America and into Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
The live announcements follow his second album, Wildchild, released in August. The deeply personal record looks back at his childhood and the experiences that shaped him, and features Nile Rodgers on “Emerald Eyes” and John Mayer on its closing title track. It topped charts in several countries, including the UK and the US.
All of it rests on the song that changed everything. “Ordinary,” Warren’s breakthrough single, is now seven-times platinum, spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 13 weeks atop the UK chart, finished as the top-selling song of 2025, and has passed two billion streams. His catalogue has amassed more than 11 billion streams overall. A singer who started out posting videos is now booking stadiums and New Year’s Eve in Vegas — and the dates are still being added.
