Austin Hitt saved his best golf for the week his career depended on it, winning the Korn Ferry Tour Championship at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, Virginia, to lead the class of 20 players who earned 2027 PGA Tour cards.

Hitt began the week 22nd in the season-long points standings, outside the top 20 who earn promotion. He closed with a 5-under 66 on Sunday — sparked by a birdie-birdie-eagle run on holes 8, 9 and 10 — to win by two shots, claim $270,000 from the $1.5 million purse and vault to sixth in the final standings. It was his first Korn Ferry Tour win in 78 career starts, and it pushed his career earnings past $1 million.

Teenager Blades Brown finished alone in second and climbed to ninth in the points, becoming the youngest golfer ever to earn PGA Tour status through the Korn Ferry Tour. Ross Steelman finished No. 1 on the points list, earning invitations to next year’s U.S. Open at Pebble Beach and The Players Championship.

The full class of 20 graduates: Ross Steelman, Sandy Scott, Ian Holt, Alistair Docherty, Alvaro Ortiz, Austin Hitt, Cole Sherwood, Doc Redman, Blades Brown, Tommy Morrison, Cooper Dossey, Hunter Eichhorn, Dylan Menante, Michael Johnson, Jeremy Gandon, Taylor Dickson, Ian Gilligan, Davis Shore, Carson Young and Davis Lamb.

Blades Brown keeps making history before he can legally buy a drink.

The teenager finished alone in second at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship at The Federal Club in Virginia, closing with a 2-under 69 to climb to ninth in the season-long points standings — and with that, he became the youngest golfer ever to earn PGA Tour status through the Korn Ferry Tour.

Brown began the finale already inside the top 20 who earn 2027 PGA Tour cards, so his week was about positioning rather than survival. He delivered anyway, finishing runner-up to Austin Hitt in the season finale of the PGA Tour’s developmental circuit.

He is part of a 20-man graduating class headlined by Hitt and points champion Ross Steelman. The Korn Ferry Tour has long been the proving ground where future major winners earn their stripes, and Brown now carries that ‘youngest ever’ label into his rookie season on the big tour in 2027.
