Barbara Palvin Returns to the Victoria’s Secret Runway Six Weeks After Welcoming Her Daughter

Published

Barbara Palvin delivered one of the defining career moments of the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 18, walking the runway at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles just six weeks after giving birth to her first child. The 33-year-old Hungarian model appeared twice during the show, first in a romantic sheer pink negligee decorated with script writing, and again in a shimmering white look with a flowing train and snowflake-like wings.

Palvin and her husband announced their daughter Sylvie’s arrival in late September, which made her casting one of the most talked-about stories of this year’s show. Speaking to PEOPLE backstage, she took the timeline in stride. “I’m going to be six weeks postpartum tomorrow, which I think in the U.S. most people have to go back after six weeks. So it’s not that big of a deal,” she said. “I’m feeling great. I think it’s very empowering that the Victoria’s Secret team is having me at the show and we’re supporting women.”

The appearance added another chapter to one of the longest-running relationships between a model and the brand. Palvin first walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2012 and was officially named a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2019. She returned for the show’s revival editions in 2024 and 2025, and this year’s walk marked her fifth appearance on that runway. Few models in the 2026 cast could match that span of history with the company.

Her career reaches well beyond one lingerie stage. Palvin made her runway debut for Prada in Milan in 2010 at just 17 years old, went on to walk for houses including Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu, and became a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model in 2016, alongside covers for Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and L’Officiel. She is represented by IMG Models worldwide.

Days after the show, Palvin thanked Victoria’s Secret on Instagram for “embracing me exactly where I am in my postpartum journey,” and used the moment to speak up for working mothers who return to their jobs on the same six-to-eight-week timeline without a choice in the matter. It was a runway return that doubled as a statement about women going back to work on their own terms, and it underlined why, more than a decade after her debut, Barbara Palvin remains one of the most durable names in the business.

Esther Kim’s Spring 2027 Sweep: Seoul Model Lands Prada, Celine, Calvin Klein and Schiaparelli

Seoul’s Esther Kim has closed out Spring 2027 as one of the season’s defining new faces. Vogue named the 26-year-old one of its nine Breakout Models of Spring 2027, capping a fashion month that carried her from New York to Milan and Paris.

Her season highlights, per Vogue, were Calvin Klein, Celine, Prada, Schiaparelli and The Row — a list that puts her in five of the most closely watched collections of the season. She walked Prada’s Spring Summer 2027 runway in Milan on September 22, and Models.com’s Top Newcomers panel also flagged her turn at Sportmax. It was her second straight statement season: Models.com had already singled her out as a Top Newcomer for Fall 2026, again off a Prada booking.

Kim, who stands 5’11”, is represented by 1ST MGT in Seoul and by Elite in Paris, Milan and London — a placement network that matches the geography of her bookings. Her campaign work is catching up with the runway résumé, including the Celine Fall 2026 campaign photographed by Zoe Ghertner.

Off the runway, Kim brings an easy personality to the backstage circuit. “I love playing electric guitar and astrology!” she told Vogue, and in a Models.com new faces profile she described her approach to the grind of fashion month with a motto borrowed from Finding Nemo: “Just keep swimming.”

Her profile at home rose in step with the international bookings. Kim was among the models selected for the covers of Vogue Korea’s August 2026 issue, the magazine’s 30th-anniversary edition — a hometown honor that placed her alongside established Korean names including Soo Joo Park and Hyunji Shin, photographed by Hyea W. Kang. For a model who broke through in the European capitals, the cover confirmed her standing in Seoul as well. For Korean modeling, Kim’s season is another marker of Seoul’s growing weight in global casting. Breakout billing from Vogue, repeat Prada bookings and a Celine campaign in the same year is the kind of combination that turns a strong season into a lasting career.
