From Lagos to Six Major Runways: Nimota Daudu Named a Vogue Breakout Model of Spring 2027

Published

Nineteen years old and one season in, Nimota Daudu has already walked the kind of runway schedule most models spend years chasing. Vogue has named the Lagos native one of its nine Breakout Models of Spring 2027, singling her out from the thousands of models who walked hundreds of shows across New York, London, Milan and Paris this season.

Her Spring 2027 highlights read like a map of fashion’s biggest houses: Fendi, Dior, Saint Laurent, Loewe, Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton, all in a single season. In Paris, she walked the Christian Dior Spring Summer 2027 runway on September 29, part of a run that put the Nigerian newcomer in front of the industry’s most watched casting directors and creative teams.

Daudu’s momentum did not start this season. During the Fall 2026 season, Models.com named her a Top Newcomer off the strength of her Saint Laurent appearance, and she walked the house’s Winter 26 show in Paris. Her print work is building alongside the runway bookings, including a Harper’s Bazaar France editorial in the magazine’s April 2026 issue.

Part of what makes Daudu stand out is the contrast she describes herself. “I’m actually quite introverted off the runway,” she told Vogue. “I can be very quiet and reserved, but the moment I step onto the runway, I feel completely different — it’s like another side of me comes alive.”

The editorial side of the portfolio is taking shape as well. Her Harper’s Bazaar France appearance came in “Bleu sur la ville,” a story photographed by Deo Suveera and Pamela Dimitrov and styled by Alexandra Carl, which placed her alongside a cast of the season’s other rising faces. Bookings like that matter for a new model: runway work builds the name, but editorial and campaign work is what turns a breakout season into a career with range. With six blue-chip runways in one season and fashion’s biggest title already calling her a breakout, Daudu heads into the campaign and editorial season as one of the most in-demand new faces to come out of Lagos — and a name the industry will be watching when the next round of castings opens.

Kit Butler Fronts Karl Lagerfeld’s ‘From Paris With Love’ and MANGO Man’s Savile Row Story

Kit Butler is having the kind of year that confirms a top model’s staying power. The British model fronts the menswear tailoring story of Karl Lagerfeld’s Fall Winter 2026 campaign, “From Paris With Love,” and leads MANGO Man’s Tailored by Richard James collection — two campaigns built entirely around his command of a suit.

For Karl Lagerfeld, Butler embodies the house’s menswear codes through sharp, traditional suiting, photographed by Matt Easton and styled by Isabelle Kountour. The campaign, which puts Paris Hilton front and center with Jon Kortajarena also in the cast, pairs Butler with NOT-KARL, a digital character nodding to the house’s founder, who appears as his companion inside a vintage television set.

At MANGO Man, Butler carried the Tailored by Richard James collection — the Savile Row tailor’s collaboration with the menswear line — through a campaign shot across London’s cobblestones and Georgian terraces. The collection leans into earth tones: tobacco brown suits cut close to the body, houndstooth blazers in warm camel, and a double-breasted standout in stone.

It is familiar territory for Butler, who was scouted while helping his uncle build an aerodrome and made his debut opening Stuart Vevers’ Coach menswear show in London. Represented by Next London, his mother agency, along with Soul Artist Management in New York, Bananas Models in Paris and Fashion Model Management in Milan, he holds a place in Models.com’s Icons and Top 50 rankings and a spot in the BoF 500.

The campaign run builds on recent seasons that included Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall Winter 2025 campaign, photographed by Steven Meisel. The Business of Fashion, which counts Butler in its BoF 500 index of the people shaping the industry, describes a model who gave up a typical high-school existence playing rugby to become a favorite for heritage houses like Burberry. Add a VMAN 56 cover photographed by Luigi & Iango earlier this year, and Butler’s 2026 underlines why heritage houses keep calling: nobody on the current menswear board wears a suit quite like him.
