Downtown Atlanta Gets Playful: Moxy Opens by Centennial Olympic Park With a Rooftop Lounge and a Speakeasy

Downtown Atlanta has a new place to play. Moxy Atlanta Downtown has opened near Centennial Olympic Park, bringing Marriott’s boutique Moxy brand to the city’s entertainment district. The 183-room property is developed by Nexera Capital, owned by Cleveland, Tennessee-based Emerge Hospitality Group, and managed by Dothan, Alabama-based LBA Hospitality.

The location puts guests close to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena, the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola. “Atlanta is a city that knows how to have fun, and this hotel was built with that same spirit,” said Sachin Patel, president and CEO of Emerge Hospitality Group.

Rooms come with plush bedding, spa-inspired walk-in showers, integrated streaming technology, workspaces and built-in USB ports. Music culture runs through the design, with lyric-lined hallways and artwork inspired by cassette tapes and iconic performers.

The lobby centers on Bar Moxy, where guests check in with a complimentary welcome drink and the space doubles as a social hub for work and play. Upstairs, the Jagger Suite rooftop lounge offers skyline views, and The Powder Room — a speakeasy-style bar with retro-futuristic design — is hidden inside the hotel.

The property also marks the first East Coast location for Eggslut, the Los Angeles-based chain serving its signature egg sandwiches, burgers and coffee throughout the day. Ahead of the opening, Urbanize Atlanta reported the earliest bookings starting Sunday, March 15, 2026, with rates from $207 a night for a queen room, valet parking at $55 a day and dogs welcome for a $75 fee per stay. The 10-story hotel stands on Marietta Street next to the Hyatt Place Atlanta, in a tourism district that also includes the Georgia World Congress Center and the College Football Hall of Fame, and a grand-opening celebration was scheduled for March 26, 2026. For game days, concerts and convention weekends downtown, it adds a playful new option within walking distance of the district’s biggest stages.

Moxy Atlanta Downtown Brings Music-Themed Boutique Energy to the City Center

Moxy Atlanta Downtown at dusk, with the Atlanta skyline behind it

Moxy Atlanta Downtown brings high-voltage boutique energy to the city center, pairing 183 music-themed guest rooms with three distinct gathering spaces.

Surrounded by landmarks like Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena, the Georgia Aquarium, and World of Coca-Cola, the property greets incoming guests at Bar Moxy with a complimentary arrival cocktail before sending them through lyric-lined corridors layered with local street art.

Executive sessions find privacy inside the Library, an intimate salon configured for 12 guests with integrated AV solutions and high-speed Wi-Fi. Turnkey hospitality operations — complete with in-house culinary service and dedicated event staffing — support everything from seated society galas to high-profile corporate receptions.

For off-the-record entertaining, the Powder Room operates as a concealed speakeasy with an indoor-outdoor terrace behind an unmarked door.

Receptions migrate upstairs to the Jagger Suite, a disco-inflected rooftop lounge anchored by skyline views and a 12-foot disco unicorn, accompanied by rotating DJs and morning activations via LA cult breakfast import Eggslut.

It all adds up to one of downtown Atlanta’s most playful new places to stay — and to gather — this fall.
