Omni Raises the Bar in Fort Lauderdale: 29 Stories, 801 Rooms and the City’s Highest Bar

Fort Lauderdale has a new flagship. Omni Hotels & Resorts announced the grand opening of the Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel on March 10, 2026, calling it the brand’s third flagship in Florida and its first South Florida flagship. The hotel rises 29 stories above the Intracoastal Waterway, with 801 guest rooms, more than 120,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and six dining venues.

The property sits next to the Broward County Convention Center — described by Omni as the largest convention center in the Southeast U.S., with over 1.2 million square feet of total space — and offers access to the Port Everglades Cruise Terminal, beaches and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. It was established through a partnership between Omni Hotels & Resorts, Broward County and Visit Lauderdale.

Of the 801 rooms, 82 are suites. The two Presidential Suites, on the 27th and 28th floors, each span more than 3,000 square feet with two bedrooms and private balconies. Event space centers on the 30,000-square-foot Waterway Ballroom and the 15,000-square-foot Port Everglades Ballroom, across 47 individual spaces.

Dining is led by Executive Chef Cristian Mosquera, a Le Cordon Bleu-trained Fort Lauderdale native. Venues include signature restaurant Reef 76 Kitchen & Bar, Fair Ketch with a Topgolf Swing Suite, Hidden Key Bar & Lounge, Leeward Market, poolside Tide Coastal Kitchen, and the Ibis Sky Lounge on the 29th floor — billed as the highest bar in Fort Lauderdale, adults-only (21+), with nearly 360-degree views.

The 8,500-square-foot Mokara Spa has eight treatment rooms and a signature Hammam, and the design tells the story of the “Barefoot Mailmen,” the 19th-century couriers who walked a 136-mile route from Palm Beach to Miami. The giving runs alongside the opening: through Omni’s Say Goodnight to Hunger program with Feeding America, the hotel says it has provided over 16,000 meals to families in Broward County since opening.

Moxy Atlanta Downtown at dusk, with the Atlanta skyline behind it

Moxy Atlanta Downtown brings high-voltage boutique energy to the city center, pairing 183 music-themed guest rooms with three distinct gathering spaces.

Surrounded by landmarks like Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena, the Georgia Aquarium, and World of Coca-Cola, the property greets incoming guests at Bar Moxy with a complimentary arrival cocktail before sending them through lyric-lined corridors layered with local street art.

Executive sessions find privacy inside the Library, an intimate salon configured for 12 guests with integrated AV solutions and high-speed Wi-Fi. Turnkey hospitality operations — complete with in-house culinary service and dedicated event staffing — support everything from seated society galas to high-profile corporate receptions.

For off-the-record entertaining, the Powder Room operates as a concealed speakeasy with an indoor-outdoor terrace behind an unmarked door.

Receptions migrate upstairs to the Jagger Suite, a disco-inflected rooftop lounge anchored by skyline views and a 12-foot disco unicorn, accompanied by rotating DJs and morning activations via LA cult breakfast import Eggslut.

It all adds up to one of downtown Atlanta’s most playful new places to stay — and to gather — this fall.
